The Clayfield is a new
102-room luxury boutique hotel opening in Niagara-on-the-Lake and part of
the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Operated by Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada,
The Clayfield will deliver a highly personalized, refined guest experience
grounded in calm luxury, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place.
As
a Night Auditor (Part-Time), you will oversee the hotel during overnight hours
while delivering attentive guest service, maintaining property safety
and security, and completing nightly accounting and reporting procedures.
Reporting to Front Office Management, this role combines front office
operations, guest assistance, night audit responsibilities, and overnight
property oversight to ensure a seamless experience for guests and a successful
transition into the next business day.
What You’ll
Do
- Welcome and assist guests during overnight hours
with professionalism and warmth - Complete guest check-in and check-out
procedures accurately and efficiently - Perform all nightly audit
functions, including balancing daily transactions, reconciling accounts,
and preparing operational reports - Monitor arrivals, departures,
reservations, and special requests to ensure smooth overnight operations
- Assist guests with luggage delivery and room orientation during overnight
arrivals when required - Safely operate hotel vehicles for guest
transportation or operational needs, where applicable - Monitor hotel
activity throughout the night and maintain awareness of all guests, visitors,
and access points - Conduct regular property walks and ensure all public
areas remain secure, clean, and presentable - Respond to guest requests,
concerns, and emergencies in a calm and solution-oriented manner - Act
as the primary overnight point of contact for guest assistance, operational
support, and incident response - Coordinate with emergency services
and follow hotel safety and security procedures when required - Assist
with overnight setup, preparation, and administrative tasks for the following
business day - Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident
documentation - Support hotel standards by creating a safe, welcoming,
and well-managed overnight environment
What You’ll
Bring
- A passion for exceptional hospitality and guest
service - Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism,
and accountability - Ability to work independently and confidently during
overnight hours - Previous experience in front office, night audit, guest
services, or hotel operations is preferred - Comfortable handling
overnight property oversight and security-related responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability
to remain calm and composed in emergency or high-pressure situations
- High attention to detail and accuracy with financial and administrative
tasks - Comfort using hotel systems, technology, and standard office
applications - Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends,
and holidays - CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset
- G licence (Full Driving Licence) is required
