Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join
our Taiko Team.

About the job:

Based at the Mandarin Oriental
Conservatorium, within the F&B division, the dynamic and experienced Restaurant
Manager is responsible to oversee the daily operations of Taiko.

This role requires a leader with a passion of exceptional guest service,
operational excellence, and a proven ability to manage and motivate
a high-performing team.

About Taiko:

Under
the leadership of Chef de Cuisine Lars Drost, Taiko’s culinary direction
is centred around Japanese technique, product and presentation, complemented
by refined influences from other Asian cuisines. With a strong focus
on craftsmanship, seasonality and precision, Taiko offers both layered omakase
experiences and an à la carte menu.

Open from Tuesday to Saturday,
offering an exclusive dinner service.

As a Restaurant
Manager
, you will be responsible for the following
duties:

  • Manage all aspects of daily restaurant operations
    for Taiko, including staffing, service delivery, guest satisfaction,
    and financial performance;
  • Develop and implement operational procedures
    and standards to ensure consistent quality and efficiency;
  • Train,
    mentor, and evaluate a diverse team of service professionals, fostering
    a positive and productive work environment;
  • Monitor and manage
    inventory, ordering, and cost control for food, beverages, and supplies;

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu quality, presentation,
    and guest satisfaction;
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints
    professionally and efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and guest
    recovery;
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene
    regulations;
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, including P&L
    statements, and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets;

  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitor activities,
    and guest preferences.

As Restaurant Manager, we expect
from you:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in
    a management role within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
    environment;
  • Proven track record of successful restaurant operations,
    including P&L management, staff development, and guest satisfaction;

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities;
  • Good knowledge
    of English and Dutch language (written and spoken);
  • Familiar
    with hygiene code and HACCP regulations;
  • Ability to work evenings
    and weekend shifts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or
    a related field preferred;
