ballroom.
About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental
Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, The Assistant Bar
Manager is responsible for leading the bar team and delivering exceptional
service to guests. The Assistant Bar Manager reports to the Restaurant
Manager.
As Assistant Bar Manager, you will be responsible
for the following tasks:
Assist in developing, maintaining,
and continuously improving the Bar Operations Manual, including policies,
procedures, and service standards aligned with LQE
Monitor guest
satisfaction throughout the bar experience, taking prompt and appropriate action
to resolve any concerns.
Ensure guest expectations
are consistently met through efficient, personalized, and professional
service
Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and overall
presentation of the bar meet MOHG standards
Monitor beverage
quality, preparation, and service standards to ensure consistency
and excellence
Conduct daily briefings and regular team meetings
to communicate updates, promotions, guest feedback, and operational
priorities
Ensure operational expenses are controlled in line
with budget while maintaining quality standards
Support revenue
growth initiatives by maximizing sales, increasing covers, and optimizing
beverage offerings
As a Assistant Bar Manager,
we expect from you:
Completed training in upscale hospitality
or gastronomy, ideally with 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong leadership skills and organizational talent, combined with
the ability to manage a multicultural team
Strong knowledge
of bar operations, beverage trends, and service excellence standards
High flexibility and resilience - weekend and holiday shifts are part
of the job
Excellent communication skills, both written
and verbal, for interactions with guests and team members
Confidence and a well-groomed, professional appearance
Passion for exceptional service and a keen sense of trends in
the hospitality industry
Excellent knowledge of German
and English.
Further foreign language skills are an advantage
Successful
