About the job
Based at
the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Sales & Commerce Department
in Kuala Lumpur, the Sales Coordinator is responsible to effectively execute
sales activities to maximize room sales and business opportunities in
the defined market.
The Sales Coordinator reports to the Director of Sales / Director of Commercial
Strategy.
As Sales Coordinator, you will
be responsible for the following duties:
To respond to all
local enquiries within 6 hours and overseas enquiries within 24 hours
Effective follow-ups are to be conducted for such enquiries
To effectively utilize the standard forms and letters and ensures
that such forms and letters are presented in a most professional manner
To assist the Sales Managers in answering telephone inquiries, preparing
banquet event orders and proposals, menus and general administration
To maintain an effective account and booking management system through
Delphi
To ensure that all data input into the Delphi system
is accurate
Traces on accounts and books are logged in to Delphi
daily and ensures that traces are acted upon timely and thoroughly
To ensure that event orders and other important information
are distributed to support departments timely
Effectively
operate and utilize the e-yield management system.
To
effectively use all available sales tools
Maintains all client
files according to the standards required
As Sales
Coordinator, we expect from you:
Degree or Diploma
in Hospitality Management
Experience in relevant market segment
is essential
Able to liaise effectively with corporate
accounts
Strong business communication and selling
skills
