We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team at Mandarin Oriental
Savoy, Zurich.

ballroom.


About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental
Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Chef de Partie
is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Chef de Partie
reports to the Jr. Sous Chef.


As Chef de Partie, you will
be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Taking responsibility
    for the management of your kitchen station, ensuring efficient and seamless
    workflow while strictly adhering to quality and hygiene standards

  • Ensuring flawless preparation, quality, and appealing presentation of our
    dishes in accordance with our high standards
  • Ensuring that food waste
    is kept to a minimum
  • Providing creative support in the development
    of new food concepts
  • Coordinating with your supervisor for inventory
    requisition and overseeing daily goods receipt
  • Being responsible
    for the daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness according to HACCP
    guidelines

As Chef de Partie, we expect
from you:

  • A completed apprenticeship as a chef. 2-3 years
    of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in upscale
    hospitality/gastronomy
  • Flexibility and resilience – your position
    includes weekend and holiday shifts
  • An eye for detail and creativity –
    to incorporate your culinary signature
  • Excellent communication skills,
    teamwork, and organizational abilities
  • Strong leadership skills
    to manage your own station
  • High commitment, with a structured,
    results-oriented, and independent working style
  • A strong sense
    of quality
  • Very good English skills. Additional language skills are
    an advantage
