About
the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou, within the Front
Office Department in Guangzhou, the Oriental Club Manager is responsible
for overseeing daily operations, providing professional guidance and team
leadership for the Oriental Club, in full alignment with the hotel’s established
objectives, operational performance and quality standards. Working closely
with the Front Office and all hotel departments.

reports to the Director of Guest Service.
As Oriental Club
Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Strictly implement, uphold and deliver the MOHG Legendary Quality Experience
standards throughout the Oriental Club, consistently meeting and exceeding guest
expectations. Take full accountability for achieving targets in Guest Loyalty,
Satisfaction Surveys and Mystery Shopper evaluations. - Collaborate
closely with the Duty Manager team to tactfully resolve guest complaints
and handle emergencies, balance guest satisfaction with the hotel’s best
interests and ensure optimal outcomes. - Effectively manage departmental
costs and inventory; maintain a thorough understanding of monthly and annual
business targets and expense budgets. Propose innovative, positive and proactive
solutions to drive improved business performance. - Cultivate a vibrant
and upbeat team atmosphere.
Build a workplace that encourages teamwork, performance growth, open
communication, appreciation and mutual respect. Inspire all team members
to strive for departmental and hotel goals, and ensure all daily work complies
with company rules and relevant laws. - Promptly execute instructions
from senior management, and fulfill other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the immediate
leadership.
As Oriental Club Manager, we expect
from you:
- Minimum 3 years front office working experience
in luxury hotel of which at least 1 year in a similar capacity. - Strong
knowledge of front office operations, including but not limited to cashier
and reception, guest relation or relevant experience. - Familiar with
the LQA & Forbes standards - Strong desire to deliver excellent guest
services and with passion to serve. - Ability to multi-task and always
remain composed. - A good team leader with ability to drive the team
for results. - Computer literacy which is no limited to Excel, Power
Point and Word. - Fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken
and written.
