dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant
and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly
renovated event facilities, including a grand historic
ballroom.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental
Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the Chef de Rang
- Fine Dining is responsible for assisting the Orsini team to always provide
impeccable service to guests. The Chef de Rang - Fine Dining reports to
the Restaurant Supervisors and Restaurant Manager.

As Chef de
Rang - Fine Dining, you will be responsible for the following tasks:


  • Professional advice and customer care for our guests
  • Professional
    serving of food and drinks
  • Complying with our high-quality standards
  • Preparing the required mise-en-place, covering and cleaning work
    in the restaurant area
  • Supporting your superiors in their daily tasks
  • Registering all transactions in the cash register system and carrying
    out correct cash accounting
  • Assisting in the preparation
    and implementation of special events
  • Complying with hygiene regulations
    and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines

As Chef de Rang - Fine Dining, we expect from you:


  • A completed vocational training in the hotel or catering industry

  • First computer skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system
    and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageous
  • Communicative
    skills - guests will contact you with complaints as well as positive
    feedback
  • Open-mindedness and teamwork skills
  • Excellent
    manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma

  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include
    weekend and holiday shifts
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.

    Further foreign language skills are an advantage
  • Successful applicants
    must have the right to work in Switzerland
