About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental,
Singapore, the Receiving Officer is responsible for the daily receiving of all
deliveries and ensuring all goods are received accurately, checking on
the quantity, price, weight, quality and specifications as per HACCP and MOHG
standards requirements.

The Receiving Officer reports to the Director
of Cost Management.

As Receiving Officer, you will
be responsible for the following duties:

  • To understand
    and adhere to all requirements and guidelines with total compliance as per
    the hotel Receiving Policies and Procedures and MOHG Food Suppliers Management
    Policies.
  • All documents and records are to be kept and filed ona timely
    basis.
  • Monitor all delivered items to ensure quantity, quality, price,
    weight and specification and receiving guidelines are met.
  • Update
    the Purchaser of any goods not received in timely manner.
  • Understand,
    monitor, and update food supplier’s audit files and documents to ensure HACCP
    and MOHG standards compliance.
  • Keeps receiving and loading areas, in
    a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Post invoices of goods received into
    the procurement system accurately on daily basis.
  • The posted invoices
    must be checked against the Daily Invoice Summary for completeness before
    submitting to Accounts Payable through the established system.
  • Any
    other duties pertaining to receiving deemed necessary by the Director of Cost
    Management.

As Receiving Officer, we expect

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar capacity

  • Preferably with experience working in hotel or hospitality industry

  • Good communications skills
  • Proficient in computer applications

  • Hardworking, committed and willingness to learn
  • Able to work in
    a team environment
