KEY DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Anantara the Palm employees always find
new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within
this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Ensure that
you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Anantara
brand, and that you are able to effectively articulate this positioning in
the marketplace. - Maintain a personal up-to-date knowledge on all
Anantara product and service offerings, the products, services, rates and new
developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry
trends. - Understand the relative importance and priority of the current
account base, so that personal efforts can be directed
accordingly. - Respond promptly to client enquiries and provide proactive,
professional follow-up throughout the sales process to maximize conversion
and guest satisfaction. - Maintain a full working knowledge of the
IT support tools used in sales, including CRM systems, sales-specific software,
Opera, and the Microsoft Office - Establish, maintain, and regularly
update client databases and CRM records, ensuring data accuracy and supporting
targeted sales and marketing campaigns. - Maintain accurate management
status reporting on business results, sales activities, account production,
forecasts, and associated action plans. - Ensure that all paperwork
associated with the department is processed accurately and efficiently,
including proposals, quotations, contracts, agreements, correspondence, reports,
and other sales documentation. - Coordinate all administrative aspects
of group, MICE, and event bookings from confirmation through operational
handover, ensuring all event documentation, rooming lists, and contractual
requirements are completed accurately and within agreed
timelines. - Coordinate and participate in client familiarization trips,
site inspections, sales trips, roadshows, trade exhibitions, and promotional
activities as required to support the hotel's sales
objectives. - Support the development of new client contacts, maintain
existing client relationships, and ensure accurate account production records
and detailed information on potential revenues are maintained within the CRM
database - Support the achievement of departmental revenue objectives
by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell guestrooms, meeting
facilities, dining experiences, and other hotel products
and services. - Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Anantara
products.
