Role

We
are seeking an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Assistant
Director of Security to join Janu Tokyo. This role is ideal for a dynamic
security and hospitality professional who thrives in a modern luxury environment
and is committed to ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of our guests,
residents, colleagues and property.

As the Director of Security, you will lead the Security team, develop
and implement security strategies, maintain the highest safety standards
and foster a culture of vigilance and preparedness while delivering
the exceptional hospitality that defines Janu Tokyo.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome
    and support guests, residents and colleagues with professionalism while ensuring
    a safe and secure environment throughout the property
  • Lead,
    manage and develop the Security team, ensuring the highest standards
    of professionalism, service and operational
    excellence
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve
    security policies, procedures and emergency response plans in accordance
    with company standards and local regulations
  • Oversee
    the daily security operation of the hotel, ensuring the safety and security
    of guests, residents, colleagues, visitors
    and assets
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, security
    audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential
    risks
  • Lead investigations into security incidents,
    accidents and guest or colleague concerns, preparing detailed reports
    and recommending corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance
    with all applicable legal requirements, fire and life safety regulations
    and company security standards
  • Manage security staffing,
    scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring and departmental
    development initiatives
  • Develop, implement and continuously
    monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency
    and service quality
  • Coordinate with internal departments,
    external security providers, emergency services and local authorities to ensure
    seamless security operations
  • Prepare departmental reports,
    manage budgets, monitor security systems and equipment and support
    administrative and operational requirements when
    required


Requirements

  • Minimum 9 years
    of practical experience in security operations at large-scale facilities such
    as hotels, commercial facilities, hospitals or similar
    environments
  • Practical experience as a department leader
    such as a manager
  • Basic knowledge of labour management
    and practical experience in shift scheduling
  • Practical
    experience in performance evaluations, team development, coaching
    and mentoring
  • Practical experience in creating, improving
    and continuously monitoring Standard Operating Procedures
    (SOPs)
  • Excellent leadership and communication
    skills
  • Advanced business-level English proficiency (CEFR C1
    or higher)
  • Advanced business-level Japanese proficiency
    (CEFR C1 or higher)
  • Advanced PC skills including MS Office
    and typing
