the first chapter in our story. The only hotel within Tokyo’s Azabudai Hills––an

and entertainment venues and a 4,000 sqm wellness centre. Janu Tokyo provides

Role

We
are seeking an experienced and service-driven Learning&Development
Manager
to join Janu Tokyo. This role is suited for a hospitality
professional who thrives in a dynamic luxury environment and brings both
operational strength and a genuine passion for people development
and personalised service.

Your job is to nurture a culture of continuous learning that supports Janu’s
vibrant style and service philosophy. You will lead all learning and development
initiatives, ensuring training enhances both employees’ growth and guests’
experience while maintaining the warmth, creativity and excellence that define
Janu. This role is about inspiring people every day, strengthening team
capability and working closely with all departments to build confident, skilled,
and engaged colleagues.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure
    all learning&development programs align with Janu, Aman and local
    standards
  • Design and deliver training that supports
    exceptional guest service and operational excellence
  • Lead
    onboarding and orientation programs for new
    colleagues
  • Oversee daily learning operations, training
    schedules and program delivery
  • Coach, mentor, and support
    leaders in developing their teams
  • Identify training needs
    through performance insights and operational
    feedback
  • Partner with HR and department heads to create
    effective development plans
  • Support leadership development
    and succession planning initiatives
  • Maintain compliance
    training related to safety, service standards and company
    policies
  • Develop and update training materials, SOP
    learning tools and development frameworks
  • Track training
    progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare
    reports
  • Build a strong learning culture where curiosity,
    growth, and service excellence are encouraged


Requirements

  • Minimum
    10 years of practical experience in Learning & Development, Training
    or Human Resources
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience
    in a luxury hotel environment
  • Experience designing
    and delivering training programs and development
    initiatives
  • Practical experience as
    a manager
  • Practical knowledge of labour management
    and practical experience in shift scheduling
  • Excellent
    leadership and communication skills
  • Advanced business-level
    English proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher)
  • Advanced
    business-level Japanese proficiency (CEFR C1
    or higher)
  • Advanced PC skills including MS Office
    and typing
