Here’s what you’ll do during a typical
day:
Follow the hotel's
standard operating procedures, service policies, and techniques to deliver
a luxury dining experience.
Greet guests warmly,
present menus, and provide detailed explanations of menu and
buffet items, making recommendations
as needed.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate
them effectively to the kitchen
and bar.
Anticipate guest needs,
offering refills and replenishments promptly.
Assist guests
with seating, providing personalised service, and accommodating special
requests.
Address guest inquiries
and resolve any concerns promptly, ensuring a seamless
experience.
Handle guest complaints
professionally and escalate issues to the supervisor or manager when
necessary.
Possess thorough
knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, including ingredients, preparation methods,
and allergens.
Upsell and recommend
menu items, pairing food with appropriate wine or beverages to enhance
the dining experience.
Understand
the coordination between the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring smooth service
flow.
