The Clayfield is a new 102-room luxury boutique hotel
opening in Niagara-on-the-Lake and part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
Operated by Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada, The Clayfield will deliver
a highly personalized, refined guest experience grounded in calm luxury,
craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place.
At The Clayfield, our Guest
Service Attendants create memorable first and last impressions for every guest.
Reporting to the Front Office Management, this role blends warm hospitality,
attentive service, and hands-on support throughout the lobby and front drive
areas. From opening doors, welcoming guests, assisting with luggage to operating
the hotel house car, the Guest Service Attendant plays an important role
in delivering a seamless luxury experience.
What You'll
Do
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and departure,
creating an exceptional first and last impression - Assist guests
with luggage handling (read and write luggage tags), storage, and delivery
to guest rooms - Provide guest room escort and room orientation detailing
room features, amenities, and hotel facilities. - Maintain an active
presence in the lobby and front drive areas, anticipating guest needs
and offering assistance proactively - Coordinate guest arrivals
and departures with the Front Office team to ensure smooth service flow
- Safely operate the hotel house car for guest transportation requests
as required - Provide guests with information about hotel amenities,
local attractions, dining, and transportation options - Assist
with opening doors, escorting guests, and supporting overall lobby
operations - Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout
the lobby, entrance, and front drive areas - Support valet, concierge,
and front office operations as needed - Handle guest requests
and concerns professionally, escalating issues when appropriate - Uphold
all safety, vehicle, and service standards in accordance with hotel
policies - Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- A genuine passion
for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences - Professional,
polished, and friendly communication skills - Previous experience
in luxury hospitality, guest services, bell services, valet, or transportation
is an asset - Valid driver’s licence (G licence) with a clean driving
record and ability to operate hotel vehicles safely - Strong
interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests
and colleagues - Ability to remain calm, organized, and service-focused
in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility to work mornings, evenings,
weekends, and holidays as required - Ability to lift to 50 lbs
and transport luggage and stand or walk for extended periods - Strong
attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury service standards
- Knowledge of the local area and attractions is considered an asset
