JOB OVERVIEW
The Social Event Services Manager
is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of luxury social
events hosted at the hotel. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients
from contract turnover through event completion, this position ensures
exceptional service delivery, flawless event execution, and an elevated guest
experience. The role collaborates closely with Banquets, Culinary, Sales, Front
Office, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments to exceed client expectations
and uphold the property's luxury hospitality standards.
DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client & Event
Management
- Serve as
the primary liaison for social event clients, including weddings, milestone
celebrations, galas, social fundraisers, holiday parties, and other special
events. - Conduct planning meetings with clients to review event details,
timelines, menus, room setups, décor requirements, and special
requests. - Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout
the planning process and event execution. - Anticipate client needs
and proactively provide solutions to ensure a seamless and memorable
experience. - This position plays a key role in supporting guest service
operations during peak periods and therefore often involves working evenings,
nights, weekends, holidays, and special event dates. Flexibility in scheduling
is essential to meet the operational needs of a luxury hotel
environment.
Event Coordination &
Execution
- Finalize event
details and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for assigned social
events. - Coordinate all event logistics, including room configurations,
audiovisual requirements, transportation, amenities, entertainment, and vendor
access. - Oversee event setup and execution to ensure all arrangements
align with client expectations and luxury service standards. - Greet
clients and key event stakeholders upon arrival and remain available throughout
events to address requests and resolve concerns. - Monitor service
delivery and event flow while ensuring guest satisfaction at every
touchpoint. - Inform leadership of significant issues, complaints,
or service recovery opportunities.
Revenue & Business
Growth
- Identify opportunities
to enhance the guest experience through upselling of catering, guest rooms,
premium services, and event enhancements. - Support departmental revenue
goals through exceptional client service and relationship
management. - Assist with post-event follow-up and client feedback
initiatives to encourage repeat business
and referrals.
ACCOUNTABILITY
This position
has a high degree of direct client interaction and is responsible for managing
all aspects of assigned social events from planning through completion. Success
is measured by client satisfaction, event execution quality, operational
efficiency, and revenue contribution.
QUALIFICATIONS
AND REQUIREMENTS
Education &
Experience
- Bachelor's degree
in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or
a related field experience preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience
in event management, catering, conference services, wedding planning, or luxury
hospitality. - Experience managing weddings and high-end social events
strongly preferred. - Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort,
or conference hotel environment preferred.
PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to:

the hotel and event spaces.Lift or carry items weighing up to 25
pounds.Use a computer and keyboard for extended periods to prepare
correspondence, reports, BEOs, and event documentation.Communicate

parties.Inspect event setups, banquet spaces, guest accommodations,
and operational areas throughout the property.
