JOB OVERVIEW:
style="text-align: justify;">Supervise a shift, project, or aspect of maintenance/engineering
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Inspect work
assignments to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and within
specifications. Monitor performance and recommend and/or
initiate disciplinary or other staffing/human resources-related actions
in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert
management of potentially serious issues.
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Perform maintenance
and repair work on the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms
and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating,
air conditioning (HVAC), ventilation, and water treatment systems, and swimming
pool-if applicable, etc.
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Assist
in educating/training employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance
with all federal, state and local laws and safety regulations. Inform management
of hazardous situations, emergencies or threats to the security of guests,
employees or hotel assets. Schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance
and repairs as needed.
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Ensure that equipment
is prepared and operational for the following day’s work.
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Respond in
a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests
to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Promote teamwork
and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other
departments.
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">May serve as Manager
of Duty as required.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
style="text-align: justify;">This job is a third layer of supervision in maintenance/engineering
Qualifications
and Requirements:
Some college or advanced vocational
training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance and/or
construction, or an equivalent combination of education
and experience. Hotel maintenance and supervisory experience
preferred. Professional certification and license if required
by law.
This job requires ability to perform
the following:

pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 100-300 pounds

up and moving about the facility

objects and equipment to maintain the facility
style="font-family: "Arial Narrow", sans-serif;">Frequently bending,
stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling

are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with the other
supervisors, hotel staff and hotel guests.

abilities are utilized in order to document or record all tasks completed,
to order supplies, to receive their instructions for the day and/or to read
equipment repair manuals.

reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used
often.
May
be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
