Job
Overview

Perform a variety of accounting
functions to ensure accurate reporting of financial statements. Responsible
for the timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll, payroll
reconciliations, and various accounting responsibilities while maintaining
the highest level of confidentiality and professional integrity. Supports
departmental financial reporting and assists with operational and administrative
accounting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

    and work closely and efficiently with the accounting team.

    0in;">Provide quality service to all operational departments through effective
    communications and prompt response.

    a respectful and professional presence in the working
    environment.

  • Work closely with Human Resources
    and department leaders regarding payroll inquiries, employee records, earnings,
    deductions, paid time off balances, and benefit-related
    questions.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll,
    compensation, personnel, and financial information.

    0in;">Meet various deadlines in Accounting and/or
    operations.

    Payroll
    Administration

    • Process weekly payroll accurately,
      including regular wages, overtime, service charges, porterage, paid time off,
      bonuses, retroactive adjustments, and other payroll and benefit
      components.

    • Audit payroll data prior to submission to ensure
      compliance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, wage
      and hour regulations, and applicable labor laws.

    • Research
      and investigate payroll variances and resolve discrepancies in collaboration
      with Human Resources, department managers,
      and employees.

    • Maintain payroll records in accordance
      with company policies and audit requirements.

    • Assist
      with preparation and distribution of employee pay statements and related payroll
      communications.

    • Assist with employee benefits, deductions,
      and garnishment setup. 

     

    ACCOUNTING
    ADMINISTRATION

    • Review
      F&B house checks daily and validate complimentary checks are compliant
      with company policy.

      padding: 0in;">Assist with monthly cash counts.

      processing and regular statement reviews.

      margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; padding: 0in;">Be able to assist transient
      guests by answering questions on their bills.

      margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; padding: 0in;">Support daily accounting
      operations and month-end closing through various tasks assigned by accounting
      leaders.

    • Be able
      to shift priorities and handle multiple deadlines.

      margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; padding: 0in;">Assist Finance leadership
      with special projects, audits, and ad hoc assignments.

      margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; padding: 0in;">May be required to work
      evenings, weekends, and/or holidays to meet payroll/accounting
      deadlines.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 2 years of hotel accounting experience required.
    • A
      proven track record of maintaining accuracy and meeting
      deadlines.
    • Sufficient knowledge of payroll process
      and reporting. 
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
      required. 
    • Sufficient knowledge of Word, Outlook, TEAM and other
      business applications.  
    • Carry out job responsibilities
      with absolute confidentiality.
    • Excellent analytical and communicational
      skills.

     

    This job requires ability to perform
    the following:

    • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds, handling objects,
      supplies, boxes of merchandise, etc.
    • Standing up and moving about both
      front and back of the house, including bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching,
      reaching and so on.
    • Keeping professional verbal and written
      communication with colleagues and clients

    $36.00
    to $37.00 is the hourly pay range for this role. Salary consideration is also
    based on experience.
