and property transfer of the current incumbent, InterContinental Perth
is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our team
of three.

 

About the Role

style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">This role flexes between both
leadership and administrative tasks, and the key to success is 'being efficient'
with an ability to partner with many Leaders across the hotel to support
the implementation of HR initiatives that enhance business effectiveness
and colleague engagement.  Your day to day:

style="list-style-type: disc;">
  • Coordinate HR activities across the hotel, ensuring they support
    business goals and company values.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
    to attract, select, and retain talented employees.
  • style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">In partnership with our PT
    Administrative Assistant, oversee employee records and ensure compliance
    with company policies and employment legislation.
  • style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Deliver and promote IHG people
    programs, tools, and employer branding initiatives.
  • style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Coordinate new hire onboarding,
    workers compensation claims and drive hotelwide safety
    culture.
  • Build
    strong relationships internally and externally to support the hotel's people
    strategy and long-term success.
  • Ensure compliance with Hospitality Industry General Award
    and any other applicable awards and employment
    legislation.
  • There is no way to explain a day-in-the-life of an HR Professional

    What we need from you

    style="list-style-type: disc;">
  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions (a kind
    reminder that visa sponsorship is not available for
    this role)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in generalist Human Resources role within
    Australia / NZ
  • Strong time management with the ability to work under pressure
    and influence others
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines,
    demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Bachelor degree in Human Resources,
    Business or Hospitality Management is advantageous
  • style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">HIGA Award Interpretation experience
    is also advantageous.
