the job?

As the Learning & Development Manager,
you will lead the hotel's learning and development strategy, fostering a culture
of continuous learning, engagement, and career growth. Reporting to
the Director of Human Resources, you will partner
with department leaders to identify development opportunities, deliver impactful
training programs, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure colleagues
have the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional guest experiences in line
with IHG brand standards.

Your day-to-day

  • Develop, implement,
    and continuously improve the hotel's annual Learning & Development strategy
    aligned with business objectives and IHG brand
    standards. 
  • Lead all learning initiatives, including onboarding, orientation,
    leadership development, technical training, compliance training, and mandatory
    certification programs. 
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs,
    evaluate skill gaps, and create development plans that support operational
    excellence. 
  • Facilitate engaging classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training sessions
    while coaching Departmental Trainers to deliver high-quality learning
    experiences. 
  • Champion IHG culture, service behaviors, and brand standards by acting
    as a Brand Champion and inspiring colleagues to deliver memorable guest
    experiences. 
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, colleague feedback,
    operational performance, guest satisfaction scores, and learning
    analytics. 
  • Maintain accurate training records, compliance documentation,
    and learning reports while ensuring completion of mandatory training
    requirements. 
  • Manage the Learning & Development budget, training resources,
    and departmental expenses effectively.

    reviews, and career development initiatives by identifying and nurturing
    high-potential colleagues. 
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to improve guest
    experience by translating guest feedback, HeartBeat results, and social
    listening insights into targeted learning
    initiatives. 
  • Foster an engaging workplace culture by promoting colleague wellbeing,
    recognition, diversity, equity, inclusion, and continuous
    improvement. 
  • Stay current with hospitality industry trends, adult learning
    methodologies, and digital learning technologies to enhance training
    effectiveness continuously.

from you

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Minimum 3–5 years
    of experience
    in Learning & Development, Training, or Human
    Resources within an international upscale or luxury hotel environment, with
    at least 2 years in a managerial role.

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Strong understanding of adult
    learning principles, instructional design, facilitation techniques, and talent
    development. 

  • style="text-align: justify;">Experience designing and delivering leadership development, service
    culture, onboarding, and compliance training programs.

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Excellent presentation,
    facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills with the ability
    to engage audiences at all organizational levels.

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Strong analytical skills with
    the ability to measure learning effectiveness and translate business needs into
    practical development solutions.

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Experience managing training
    budgets, learning systems, and departmental planning.

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Proficient in Microsoft Office
    applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

    style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;">Excellent communication skills
    in both written and spoken English and Bahasa
    Indonesia.
