Job Description

Your Day
To Day

  • Ensures maximum guest satisfaction
    through personal recognition and prompt, cordial attention from arrival
    to departure.
  • Ensures that IHG Rewards Club Members as well
    as Ambassadors consistently receive all benefits, Club Intercontinental-
    and repeat guests and other VIP’s receive special recognition
    and service. 
  • Gets to know the guest personally
    (memorise and greet by name) and recognize their preferences in food &
    beverage and their room preferences (King or Twin Bed, Smoking or Non-smoking,
    special set ups, etc). 
  • Ensures that all guests follow
    the dress code (no hotel slipper and flip flops) and advise parents about
    no children policy during Happy Hour.
  • Has thorough
    knowledge of hotel facilities including the timings, charges, cuisine served
    in different outlets and offer assistance to place
    order
  • Liaises with other departments and necessary outside
    contractors to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Works
    as receptionist at Club Reception and fulfil all necessary tasks as mentioned
    in checklist (prepare arrivals, check bills of departing guests, room
    inspection, print and send out daily reports, order stock and maintenance
    inventory, etc).
  • Follows the daily operation checklists
    in order to ensure smooth operation and complete your jobs in order to support
    your team.
  • Own your kitchen – keep on top of supplies
    and equipment, and minimise waste.
  • Be cleaner than clean –
    meet or exceed local cleanliness and hygiene laws.
  • Promotes
    Inter-Hotel sales and in-house facilities (restaurant outlets, swimming pool,
    gym, SPA).
  • Ensures that all duties are carried out in line
    with the Hotel Policy with high standards of personal appearance, personal
    hygiene, correct uniforms and name badges as outlined in the staff
    handbook.
  • Has ‘In the Know’ knowledge of the city to
    be able to offer suggestions if required.
  • Ad-hoc duties –
    unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task
    done.
  • May assist with other duties
    as assigned.
  • Participate in IHG training programs
    for self-development
  • Help with washing up and other kitchen
    duties when needed
  • Give guests a better experience
    by helping with any queries or advice
  • Take on other ad-hoc
    duties when the whole team needs to pull
    together 
  • Attends and participates in training
    sessions as scheduled

From You

  • Fluency in English both written
    and verbal.
  • Friendly and great knowledge about IHG brand
    and F&B outlet/ foods
  • Communication skills are utilized
    a significant amount of time when interacting with clients and
    the guests.
  • Basic calculation skills are used
    frequently.
