Holiday Inn is Auckland Airport's largest full-service
hotels, offering 251 guest rooms, extensive conference facilities, resort-style
grounds and the backing of IHG Hotels & Resorts. This is an opportunity
to build meaningful client relationships while contributing directly to
the hotel's commercial success.
So, we’re searching for
a Business Development Executive with a track record of driving
sales and smashing targets to help us fill our rooms, meeting suites and banquet
halls.
The Business Development Executive (BDE)
will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and growing
revenue across corporate, government, Travel Management Companies (TMC's),
logistics, aviation, meetings and events, and group accommodation segments.
This is a proactive, externally focused sales role requiring a high level
of client engagement and market presence.
A little taste
of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll
mostly be:
Spending large portion of the week
outside the hotel meeting with prospective and existing
clients
Hitting all personal and team sales goals
to help us maximise profitability
Developing new business
opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships and representing Holiday Inn
Auckland Airport within the Auckland community
Converting
opportunities into long term business
Developing
and maintaining relationships with key clients and outside
contacts
What We need
from you:
Previous experience in business
development, sales, account management, hospitality or a customer-facing
commercial role.
- Experience within
the hotel, travel, tourism or hospitality industry is advantageous but
not essential - Demonstrated ability to build
relationships, prospect for new business and deliver excellent customer
service. - Excellent communication, negotiation
and presentation skills. - Commercial mindset
with the ability to identify and convert opportunities. -
lang="EN-US">Ability to work independently while managing a busy external sales
schedule. - Experience in hotel sales using CRM
systems such as Delphi is advantageous. - Full
New Zealand driver's licence. - Ability
and willingness to travel throughout the Auckland region for client meetings
and networking events.
