Duties and Responsibilities
As Lifeguard, I will assume full responsibility
for the efficient operation in the following:
- Maintain
continuous surveillance of people in swimming pools, lakes and oceans
- Ensure appropriate headcount of people involved in a watersport
on an hourly basis - Provide safety information to people prior
to them indulging in a water sport - Supervise swimmers to ensure
that they are swimming within the safety protocols - Spot hazards
or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents
- Control and report unruly behavior and evict individuals
not adhering to behavior protocols - Ensure that water sports such
as beach volleyball and surfing is done within the parameters of set rules
and regulation - Perform first aid and CPR according to the demands
of adverse situations - Perform pool chemical checks to ensure
safety and hygiene - Ensure all equipment is well maintained and
in safe condition. - Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards
of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
- Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
Qualifications
To execute
the position of Lifeguard, I must have the required qualifications, technical
skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results
and includes the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent and
at least 1 year experience in a similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven
references in CPR, emergency medical procedures and current certification as
a Lifeguard by a recognized source of training. - Ability to react
calmly and effectively in emergency situations and skills in the application
of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. - If required
I will pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation as stipulated by
the department. - I have an excellent command of written and spoken
English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time
and travel on single status.
