Job Description

The Income Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity
of all hotel revenues by auditing daily transactions, verifying financial
records, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting
standards. The role supports the Finance Department by monitoring
revenue-generating operations, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring timely
and accurate financial reporting.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Audit and verify all daily revenue transactions
    from Front Office, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Spa, and other operating
    departments.
  • Review and reconcile daily sales reports, cash
    receipts, credit card transactions, and city ledger
    postings.
  • Ensure all revenues are correctly recorded
    and posted to the appropriate accounts.
  • Investigate
    and resolve discrepancies between operational reports and accounting
    records.
  • Monitor compliance with hotel policies, internal
    controls, and financial procedures.
  • Verify discounts,
    rebates, complimentary services, voids, refunds, and rate adjustments for proper
    authorization.
  • Ensure revenue recognition practices comply
    with company standards and accounting principles.
  • Assist
    in identifying risks and recommending process
    improvements.
  • Prepare and distribute daily revenue
    and statistical reports to management.
  • Generate monthly
    revenue summaries and analytical reports.
  • Support month-end
    closing activities related to revenue accounts.
  • Maintain
    accurate audit files and supporting documentation.
  • Review
    data accuracy in the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS),
    and other operational systems.
  • Ensure all interfaces
    between hotel systems are functioning correctly and revenue data is accurately
    transferred.
  • Coordinate with department heads to correct
    posting errors and system discrepancies.
  • Assist internal
    and external auditors during audits.
  • Support the Finance
    team with special projects, budgeting, and financial analysis
    as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial
    information and company records.

    WHAT
    WE NEED FROM YOU:

    • Bachelor's degree
      in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related
      field.
    • Minimum 2–3 years of accounting or auditing
      experience, preferably within the hospitality
      industry.
    • Experience with hotel accounting systems
      and revenue auditing processes is preferred.
    • Strong
      analytical and numerical skills.
    • Excellent attention
      to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
      and hotel accounting software.
    • Knowledge of PMS, POS,
      and ERP systems.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal
      skills.
    • Ability to work independently and meet strict
      deadlines.
    • Understanding of hospitality revenue streams
      and financial controls.
