Your day to day

As
a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play a key role in creating
exceptional dining experiences for our guests while supporting the daily
operations of our restaurant and In Room Dining services. Leading by example,
you will ensure service standards are consistently delivered, team members
are supported and developed, and every guest interaction reflects the luxury
and hospitality standards of InterContinental Melbourne the Rialto.

The
day-to-day role includes supervising service periods, coordinating team
activities, delivering daily briefings, assisting with training and development,
and ensuring all food and beverage outlets are prepared and presented to
the highest standard. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager
and wider Food & Beverage team to drive guest satisfaction, maximise revenue
opportunities through upselling, manage guest enquiries and feedback,
and maintain compliance with all health, safety, and responsible service
requirements.

You will also support stock control processes, monitor
service quality, assist with rostering and team engagement initiatives, and help
foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the floor, building
strong relationships with guests and colleagues, and delivering memorable
experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

What we need
from you

  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest
    experiences and creating memorable dining moments
  • Previous supervisory
    experience within a restaurant, hotel, or food and beverage
    environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate,
    coach, and develop team members
  • Excellent communication
    and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging approach to guest
    service
  • Ability to multitask and remain organised in a fast-paced
    environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining
    luxury service standards
  • Experience handling guest feedback
    and resolving issues professionally and effectively
  • Understanding
    of food safety, workplace health and safety, and responsible service of alcohol
    requirements
  • VIC Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
    Certification
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings,
    weekends, and public holidays
  • You must meet the legal requirements
    to live and work in Australia
