Job Description

a dedicated and hands-on Casual Facilities Team Leader to support the efficient
day-to-day operation of our facilities, kitchen, and events services. In
this role, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety,
and operational excellence while supporting a positive experience for both
guests and team members.

Every day is different, but you'll mostly
be:

Financial Returns

  • Work flexibly in line
    with operational and business requirements
  • Assist with monthly
    inspections and facility audits
  • Identify and support cost-saving
    initiatives and efficient resource
    management


People

  • Support chefs
    with food preparation and general kitchen duties as required
  • Assist
    with the receiving, storage, and organisation of goods
    and supplies
  • Demonstrate the safe and correct use of chemicals
    and provide guidance to other departments when needed
  • Foster positive
    working relationships across departments and contribute to a collaborative team
    environment
     

Guest
Experience

  • Ensure all crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment,
    and service items are cleaned and maintained in accordance with HACCP
    standards
  • Provide assistance to guests and internal customers when
    required
  • Support the setup and smooth operation of events
    and functions


Responsible
Business

 

  • Partner with management to promote
    workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives
  • Participate
    in workplace inspections and support investigations into incidents, injuries,
    and near misses
  • Recommend corrective actions to minimise future risks
    and improve safety outcomes
  • Promptly report workplace hazards
    and support the implementation of corrective measures
  • Wear, maintain,
    and correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Safely
    operate equipment, tools, materials, and substances in accordance with workplace
    procedures
  • Report workplace injuries, illnesses, hazards, and safety
    concerns to management


What We Need
From You

 

  • Previous experience in facilities,
    stewarding, kitchen operations, hospitality, or a similar role is highly
    regarded
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety
    practices
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements,
    including the correct use of PPE
  • Strong customer service
    and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently
    and as part of a team
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus
    on safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
  • Flexibility to work
    a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
    as required
