As Sustainability Trainee, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses
to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them
and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences,
emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering
wellness.
Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary
experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard
these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all
directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within
the hotel.
Duties
and Responsibilities
As a Sustainability Trainee,
I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in
the following:
- Manage Earth Lab operations (Weekly
activity calendar, on-demand workshops, creation of new workshops, inventory,
stock re-ordering, cleanliness, amenity production, revenue generation)
- Leading Children related activities in & out of the Earth
Lab, assisting with Children during Sunday brunch - Involvement
with Waste Management, ensuring team has the necessary equipment to operate
seamlessly - Assist with the GSTC application & other necessary
paperwork to Home Office - Enriching of Sustainability-related
Mission Wellness offering for hosts - Close collaboration
with Wellness team (Alchemy bar, outdoor activities, curated experiences, etc)
if necessary - Assist Experience team where necessary, leading Out
of the Ordinary experiences, following up with guests - Increase
integration of Sustainability philosophy in all guest journey
- Increase guest-facing visibility of the Sustainability Fund,
learn to communicate the value of these projects - Engage
with various Sustainability Fund partners - Sustainability is
a very diverse job with myriad possibilities, candidate must remain open minded
and expect to work cross-departmentally daily - Assistance in
the management of the Water Bottling Facilities: Set-up, requisition,
maintenance, bottling,
improvement
Qualifications
To
execute the position of Sustainability Trainee, I must have the required
qualifications and technical skills:
Passionate
about sustainability, including basic knowledge of sustainability topics such
as waste, energy management, biodiversity, and community
engagement.
- Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including
POS, PMS and CRM platforms. I have excellent knowledge of guest related
functions and guest service. - Fluent in English
and French - To be eligible, you must hold a valid work permit, and
the internship must be part of a training program at a hospitality school
recognized by the CCNT - Internship starting from: December
2026
