Job Description

Job Overview

Our Maintenance Department is looking
for a General Technician to join the team. This post calls
for a dynamic, career-oriented individual willing to develop their career within
the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities:


  • Perform general technical repairs and fault finding across the hotel’s guest
    rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Carry out
    maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner to ensure smooth
    daily operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical,
    electrical, and plumbing systems as directed by management.
  • Report
    issues and follow up on maintenance requests through the appropriate
    channels.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or plumbing
    problems as needed.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and assist
    with maintaining HVAC, lighting, and water systems.
  • Uphold the upkeep
    of kitchen and laundry equipment by ensuring all appliances and machinery are
    in working order.
  • Assist in maintaining building safety systems
    and equipment according to standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe
    working environment and follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents.

Skills
and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a hotel
    or facilities maintenance role.
  • Good knowledge of general building
    maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair technical faults efficiently.

  • Electrical Licence A or technical certification will be considered
    an asset.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Good command of English, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness
    to work evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays as per business
    needs.
