What’s the job?
Perform hotel security duties
and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and
the property as well as the property’s assets and also part of the Company
Emergency Response Team (CERT) assisting Fire Emergencies.
Senior Security Officer is responsible
for providing guidance and leadership to Security Officers through the course
of their duties; performing duties as Security Duty Shift Supervisor when needed
and assisting with training and development of newly assigned personnel. SSOs
are required to carry out any and all investigations that requires CCTV viewing
and reporting.
Your day-to-day
style="font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:0px; padding:0px;Remain vigilant during duty post
deployment and hotel patrol at all times and identify fire and security
risks;
Provide
advice to staff and guests on security and safety issues;
Liaise with external organisations
including emergency services regarding security and safety issues;
Log security incidents and accidents
for guests and colleagues in accordance with hotel requirements; to review
and report on CCTV investigations.
Ensure effective measure against
trespassers and pilferage with no undesirables loiter in or around the hotel
premises;
Provide
assistance for events or functions as required for VIPs, High Profile guests,
Government, Owners, Royals, etc;
Maintain
daily occurrence duty logs, FCC orderly with proper handover duties;
Ensure that the Fire Command Centre
is never left unattended;
Be
thoroughly familiar of the property layout, design, entry and exit points
in order to lead and direct guest whenever possible;
Attend to all alarms, medical & fire
emergencies, and other similar matters;
Evacuate
premises and contact appropriate emergency services if required;
In the event of fire, be thoroughly
familiar with and guided by the hotel’s emergency plan and be familiar
with location of fire alarms and firefighting equipment;
Ensure checks are conducted on fire
panel, fire Hosereel, fire barriers, fire exit doors and all safety equipment
to be in good working order;
Comply with all the Hotel Policies,
Procedures and Work place safety and health;
Monitor CCTV surveillance and conduct
regular patrols of the hotel and promptly report any suspicious or unusual
activities to the Supervisor;
Maintain
a professional demeanour, handling incidents discreetly
and confidently;
Perform
security functions at assigned posts and areas within the hotel;
Ensure hotel function rooms remain secure
and locked when not in use;
To perform
any other duties assigned by Security Supervisor/Security Manager.
What we need from you
style="font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:0px; padding:0px;Must
possess PLRD license with relevant employment grading;
Physically
fit and active, able to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidays;
Minimum
tertiary education with at least 2 years of working experience in a similar
capacity, in the hotel industry;
Certified
First Aid Trained with CPR & AED;
Great
communication skills with Guests and colleagues, ability to read, write
and speak English;
Basic
computer skills including the use of program such as Microsoft Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint.
