Job Description
What’s the job?

The Senior / Sales Manager – Corporate
is responsible for maximizing revenue opportunities in the areas of room
reservations by driving sales acquisitions, maximizing business opportunities
and increasing business conversions. 

He/she
is knowledgeable on local and international market trends and will recommend
strategic sales initiatives to win the business and maintain hotel's market
leader position as preferred hotel for international and local
business.

Your day-to-day


  • Provide total account management to assigned corporate accounts
    to maintain and develop new business opportunities for the hotel, thereby
    increasing market share of existing accounts to achieve budgets.

  • Undertake research, for example via telesales or street walks
    to identify new potential accounts. Identify and generate sales leads from all
    available channels for business development purposes. 
     

  • Utilise knowledge of local and international corporate segments
    to drive and support business acquisition and conversion.

  • Maintain contact with planners, corporate accounts, incentive buyers,
    airlines and wholesalers, through personal sales calls, telephone contacts
    and written communications. Maintain close liaison with sales team and those
    of other IHG hotels to ensure the hotel receives proper corporate consideration,
    direction and support.
  • Attend major trade shows/fairs
    to represent and promote sales for the hotel. 
     

  • Organize and attend major sales/ PR related functions within
    the hotel.
  • Conduct sales visits, product presentations
    (including virtual sessions), site inspections and attend trade shows/fairs
    to drive business acquisitions.
  • Keep up to date
    with market trends, market conditions, competitor developments and customer
    performance and communicate this information to DOS.

  • Maintain and ensure smooth operation of all assigned corporate
    accounts in consultation with the DOS on all matters. 

  • Maximise group room revenue and maintain accurate room blocks
    including group attrition.
  • Maintain accurate and timely
    update of groups to support forecast accuracy.
  • Qualify
    business opportunities, prepare corporate rate agreements based on static rates
    or dynamic rates contracting.
  • Ensure accurate rate loading
    upon signed agreement returned to hotel or RFP accepted.

  • Respond to all groups' enquiries and work with groups, meetings
    and events team to drive business conversion.
  • Other duties
    as assigned by Supervisor.
What we need from you

  • Diploma / Degree in marketing, hotel administration or related
    field.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role
    with proven track record and good client network. Candidates with senior
    years of experience may be considered for a higher
    role. 
     

  • Self-motivated and result-driven individual with excellent
    communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic
    and analytical problem-solving skills with an innovative approach in providing
    solutions.
  • Excellent organisational and planning
    skills.
