Job Description

POSITION
SUMMARY

The Analyst, Performance Analytics, APEC
is a 6-month contractual role responsible for supporting commercial performance
reporting, data analysis, dashboard maintenance, and executive-ready analytical
deliverables for the APEC Commercial Services Analytics team. The role supports
recurring monthly and quarterly performance routines, market share reporting,
revenue and commercial analytics, and ad hoc analysis that help stakeholders
monitor business performance and identify opportunities across APEC.


The position works closely with Commercial Services Analytics team
members and cross-functional stakeholders to gather data, validate outputs,
prepare analytical summaries, and translate findings into clear, concise,
and business-relevant insights. The Analyst will contribute to the development
and maintenance of scalable reporting and visualization capabilities, including
Power BI dashboards, and will support the preparation of leadership materials,
performance updates, and special project analysis during the 6-month
assignment.

CANDIDATE PROFILE


Education & Experience


  • 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business
    Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems,
    Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or another quantitative
    discipline.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
    in analytics, business intelligence, commercial analysis, revenue strategy,
    reporting, dashboard development, or a related analytical function.

  • Hands-on experience working with corporate reports, dashboards, data
    preparation, and reporting visualizations.
  • Experience
    supporting data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to improve
    reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Preferred: Working
    experience in Commercial, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty,
    Customer, Travel, Hospitality, or related business intelligence
    environments.
  • Preferred: Experience working
    with cloud-based data platforms, APIs, automated data workflows, Power Platform,
    or related analytics tools.

  • Strong analytical capability,
    with the ability to work with large datasets, identify trends, validate
    findings, and summarize insights clearly.
  • Ability
    to connect commercial performance, market dynamics, revenue trends, and business
    context into practical analytical outputs.
  • Good data
    storytelling skills, with the ability to translate analysis into concise
    summaries, visual outputs, and business-facing materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy,
    consistency, and quality.
  • Ability to support recurring
    reporting deliverables, manage timelines, and prioritize multiple assignments
    in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working
    independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to follow-up,
    issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent
    command of the English language, with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal
    communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Experience with Power BI
    or Tableau, including dashboard development, data visualization, performance
    monitoring, and report enhancement.
  • Working knowledge
    of SQL and familiarity with database environments such as Snowflake
    is preferred.
  • Exposure to statistical analysis,
    forecasting, automation, Python, Power Platform, or related programming
    languages is advantageous.

CORE WORK
ACTIVITIES

  • Support recurring monthly
    and quarterly performance reporting for APEC Commercial Services Analytics,
    including data preparation, validation, analysis, and summary of key
    trends.
  • Maintain and enhance analytical reports,
    dashboards, and data assets used for commercial performance management
    and decision support.
  • Assist in the development
    and improvement of Power BI dashboards and other visualization tools to support
    performance monitoring and stakeholder self-service.

  • Prepare data extracts, analysis, charts, and supporting materials
    for leadership communication decks, business reviews, Annual Business Planning,
    goal setting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze
    commercial, revenue, market share, and performance data to identify trends,
    risks, opportunities, and areas requiring further review.

  • Translate analytical outputs into clear, concise,
    and business-relevant insights for internal stakeholders.

  • Support ad hoc requests from Commercial, Revenue Strategy, Market,
    Regional, and Global stakeholders by providing timely and accurate data
    analysis.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders
    to clarify business requirements, align on analytical needs, and ensure outputs
    are fit for purpose.
  • Conduct data validation,
    reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and reliability
    of reporting outputs.
  • Document reporting logic, data
    sources, assumptions, and process steps to support continuity and knowledge
    transfer during the 6-month assignment.
  • Contribute
    to process improvement, automation, and standardization opportunities
    that improve reporting efficiency and analytical quality.

  • Support special projects as assigned, including analysis, dashboard
    updates, stakeholder materials, and performance deep dives.
