This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee,
Capital Management,
Inc. The franchisee is a separate company
and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely
controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including
hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other
terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel,
you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International,
Inc.

The TownePlace Suites Kansas City at Briarcliff, a 94-room
Marriott hotel, has the position of Assistant General Manager available for
a person with a strong background in hotel operations.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible
for coordinating all hotel operations as directed and provides direct support
to the General Manager. An ideal candidate must possess extensive knowledge
of hotel operations and a positive attitude. Must be able to train and motivate
associates to perform to the best of their abilities in order to exceed all
brand and company requirements.

Functions -
Assigns duties to staff and observes performance to ensure
adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures

Provides training to staff

Selects
or assists in the hiring of hotel staff and completes new hire paperwork

Supports team
members to ensure their daily workload is attainable and completed by end
of shift

Assists with employee scheduling and timecard maintenance

and assists in conducting personnel actions such as disciplinary actions
and terminations
Assists in maintaining accurate records including, but
not limited to; cash flow sheet, direct bill accounts, credit card receipts,
registration cards, reservations cards, tips and gratuities, and credit cards
Conducts
or assists in conducting department meetings

procedures
Assists in resolving guest complaints and employee issues

as scheduled by the General Manager
