Position Summary
As
an Assistant Sales Manager (Mandarin Speaker), you will
be responsible for driving sales activities across Mandarin-speaking markets,
with a primary focus on Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Leveraging your Mandarin
language skills, you will develop and strengthen relationships with travel
agencies, corporate clients, and incentive houses while identifying new business
opportunities to maximize room revenue.
A key responsibility of this role
is to drive the acquisition and growth of Group Business,
including group accommodations, incentive groups, and leisure group business
through travel partners, contributing significantly to the hotel's overall
revenue performance.
Working closely with Revenue Management, Marketing,
and hotel operations, you will develop tailored business solutions that enhance
guest satisfaction while maximizing revenue and market share.
Key
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow business opportunities
within Mandarin-speaking markets, with a primary focus on Taiwan and Hong
Kong. - Manage and strengthen relationships with existing accounts while
actively identifying and acquiring new business. - Drive the acquisition
and growth of Group Business, including group accommodations, incentive groups,
and leisure group business through travel partners. - Conduct sales
calls, client meetings, and virtual presentations. - Prepare proposals,
quotations, and contracts for transient and group business. - Coordinate
and conduct hotel site inspections for prospective clients. - Represent
the hotel at domestic and international trade shows, sales missions,
and industry events. - Collaborate with Revenue Management and Marketing
to develop and execute effective sales strategies. - Deliver exceptional
customer service while representing Marriott International's brand
standards. - Support the Sales & Marketing team with additional
responsibilities as required.
Preferred
Qualifications
Education
- High school
diploma or equivalent required. - Bachelor's degree in Hospitality,
Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of two
(2) years of sales experience in the hospitality industry or a related
field. - Experience managing international markets or accounts
is preferred.
Language Requirements
- Business-level proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written)
is required. - English communication skills are preferred.
- Japanese language proficiency is preferred.

- Excellent communication, negotiation,
and interpersonal skills. - Strong ability to develop and maintain
long-term client relationships. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Experience
with Marriott systems (e.g., CI/TY, MarRFP, and other Marriott platforms) is
an advantage. - Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work
collaboratively in a team environment.
