Job Description

Position
Summary

Guide project teams through the hotel design
process, emphasizing brand adherence, functional efficiency, and cost
effectiveness. Represent Marriott Global Design APEC by reviewing, supporting,
and steering owners, interior designers, and other design consultants to develop
on-brand strategy hotels.

Expected
Contributions

  • Lead the Interior Design Program,
    focusing on educating, guiding, and influencing owners, interior designers,
    design consultants, and project teams to create branded hotels aligned
    with brand strategies.
  • Deliver hotel design review presentations to key
    executives.
  • Partner with brand teams to provide innovative
    and cost-effective solutions that support strategic growth goals.

  • Forecast and steer projects to ensure hotel designs across countries
    and regions are sustainable and support continuous brand and hotel net room
    growth.
  • Collaborate on new product development, regionalize design
    standards, and share lessons learned related to new brand development. Work
    closely with brand teams to lead the design segment of each brand.

  • Support the department leader and serve as backup in their absence.

  • Represent Marriott International Global Design at conferences, awards,
    and trade shows.
  • Liaise with development and operations teams
    to negotiate property brand assignments.
  • Continuously monitor business
    processes, recommend improvements, and implement approved changes
    as needed.

Education and Professional
Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
    interior design program preferred, or equivalent industry experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ hospitality design experience in reputable interior
    design firms
  • NCIDQ certification preferred
