full-service Marriott hotel properties — a large-scale, high-profile hotel
located in the heart of downtown Louisville, steps from the Kentucky
International Convention Center, Fourth Street Live, and the city's most vibrant
entertainment and business corridors. As a major convention and event hotel
serving thousands of guests annually, the Louisville Marriott Downtown demands
experienced, proactive security and loss prevention leadership to protect
guests, associates, and hotel assets at the highest level.
We
are hiring a Director of Loss Prevention to lead the safety, security,
and loss prevention function at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. This is
a senior hotel security leadership role in Louisville, Kentucky for
an experienced loss prevention professional who brings a strategic mindset,
a background in law enforcement or hotel security management, and the leadership
skills to develop a high-performing Loss Prevention department at a large-scale
downtown Louisville Marriott property.

What You'll Do
Oversee all
Loss Prevention department operations at the Louisville Marriott Downtown —
ensuring proper, effective, and professional response to all security
and safety-related incidents across this large-scale downtown Louisville hotel
property
Develop and implement proactive strategies that positively
impact loss prevention outcomes, protect hotel assets, and enhance the safety
and satisfaction of guests and associates at the Louisville Marriott
Downtown
Analyze major areas of shrinkage and loss opportunity using
current reporting tools — identifying and recommending affordable, effective
loss prevention software programs to streamline detection and reporting
processes
Develop and oversee all hotel loss prevention operations —
including loss prevention reporting, incident detection, and the conduct
of investigations in full accordance with White Lodging corporate policy
and Marriott brand standards
Design, implement, and maintain control
of all hotel loss prevention policies — ensuring they are current, effective,
and consistently enforced across all departments of this full-service Louisville
Marriott property
Partner with hotel leadership and department managers
across all divisions to identify opportunities to reduce loss, protect hotel
assets, and enhance guest safety and satisfaction
Develop and deliver
loss prevention and safety training programs for all levels of hotel personnel —
building awareness, compliance, and a proactive safety culture throughout
the Louisville Marriott Downtown
Partner with hotel senior leadership,
Human Resources, and department managers to conduct investigations, operational
assessments, and develop action plans that address safety and loss prevention
issues
Implement and maintain hotel loss prevention technologies —
including intrusion and fire alarm systems, CCTV systems, and electronic locking
systems — ensuring all systems are operational and compliant with Marriott brand
and White Lodging standards
Implement, train, and certify hotel
management in the Manager on Duty (MOD) process — and serve as Manager on Duty
when assigned at the Louisville Marriott Downtown
Manage lost and found
operations, property loss investigations, injury investigations, and detailed
incident report writing in accordance with hotel, Marriott brand, and White
Lodging standards
Implement fire drills, conduct monthly safety
meetings, and maintain ongoing compliance with all hotel safety and security
requirements at this high-volume Louisville, Kentucky hotel property
What You'll Bring
Previous
experience in law enforcement, hotel loss prevention, or hospitality security
management — required; prior Director of Loss Prevention, Loss Prevention
Manager, or hotel security director experience at a full-service or large-scale
Marriott-brand hotel strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business,
Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, or a related field —
required
Familiarity with progressive loss prevention strategies, hotel
security systems, and safety best practices in a full-service hotel
or large-scale convention hotel environment — experience in the Louisville,
Kentucky market a plus
Formalized interview and interrogation training —
required; experience conducting workplace investigations, property loss
investigations, and injury investigations in a hotel setting strongly
preferred
Working knowledge of OSHA policies, Marriott brand security
standards, hotel safety compliance requirements, and fire safety
protocols
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills — with
the ability to use logical and analytical methods to resolve complex security
and safety situations with effective, guest-sensitive solutions in a high-volume
downtown Louisville hotel environment
Proven ability to build
constructive and effective relationships with a diverse group of hotel
department leaders — influencing at all levels of the Louisville Marriott
Downtown organization to drive safety and loss prevention
outcomes
Strong planning, priority-setting, and organizational skills —
with the ability to set objectives, manage a Loss Prevention department,
and meet and exceed safety and security performance expectations at
a large-scale Marriott property
Excellent written and verbal
communication skills — with the ability to produce detailed incident reports
and deliver effective safety training across all hotel personnel
levels

Physical ability to stand and be on your feet
for extended periods — up to 8 hours or more during a shift — and to handle
