About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
and strategic Director of Revenue to join the pre-opening team
of The Cape Town EDITION Hotel, an exciting new luxury
lifestyle destination. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role
in launching an iconic brand, shaping the commercial strategy from the ground
up, and positioning the hotel for long-term success in a highly competitive
market.

As Director of Revenue, you will be responsible for developing
and executing innovative revenue management strategies to maximize
profitability, drive market share, and establish strong business foundations
ahead of opening and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall revenue management strategy for the hotel,
    including rooms, groups, transient, and ancillary revenue streams

  • Develop and implement pricing, distribution, and inventory
    strategies
    aligned with market dynamics and brand positioning

  • Play a critical role in the pre-opening phase, including
    system set-up, demand forecasting, and market positioning
  • Conduct
    in-depth market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and demand
    trend evaluations to identify opportunities
  • Collaborate closely
    with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to drive total revenue
    performance
  • Establish and optimize distribution
    channel strategies
    (OTA, direct, GDS, etc.) to maximize yield

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring
    accuracy and alignment with business goals
  • Monitor KPIs such as RevPAR,
    ADR, and occupancy, taking proactive action to drive performance

  • Develop and implement effective revenue reporting
    frameworks
    for leadership insights and decision-making
  • Build
    and mentor a high-performing revenue team (where applicable) and foster
    a data-driven culture
Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a Revenue Management leadership role
    within a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment
  • Strong
    pre-opening experience highly advantageous
  • In-depth
    understanding of revenue systems, distribution channels, and pricing
    strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial performance
    and profitability
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability
    to interpret data and translate insights into action
  • Excellent
    stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of the South African hospitality market
    is preferred
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality
    Management, Business, Finance, or related field
