Job Description

As Executive Assistant Manager -
Sales and Marketing
, you will lead the commercial strategy
for The Ritz‑Carlton, shaping demand and driving revenue across
rooms, groups and catering within a large, complex luxury hotel environment
(typically 300+ peak rooms with significant local catering
and significant Food & Beverage revenue). You will lead a high‑performing
team across proactive and reactive sales, with full accountability
for delivering booking targets and total revenue performance.


You will bring the brand’s service strategy to life throughout
the sales journey, building long‑term, value‑based relationships with key
customers and partners, and ensuring the hotel is positioned effectively across
the right sales channels, including area sales support, sales office functions
and electronic lead platforms.

In a luxury setting,
reputation and relationships are as critical as results. You will oversee
the marketing budget to deliver property‑specific objectives, promotions
and collaterals, and collaborate closely with Marriott Digital Services
and drive regional marketing communications to maximize Marketing rooms and Food
& Beverage objectives.

You will lead, inspire
and develop a high‑performing Sales & Marketing team, setting clear
direction, priorities and standards of excellence aligned with The Ritz‑Carlton
brand. With a strong focus on coaching, capability building and performance
management, you will create an environment where associates are empowered
to succeed, grow professionally and consistently deliver exceptional commercial
outcomes. You will foster collaboration across sales, marketing, and key hotel
stakeholders, ensuring the team operates with discipline, accountability and
a shared commitment to service excellence, relationship building and long‑term
value creation.

You will also play a pivotal role
in strengthening the hotel’s presence within luxury sales ecosystems, including
collaboration with luxury travel advisors and participation in recognized luxury
travel programs.

Required

  • 2-year degree
    in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management,
    or related field, with 4 years of sales and marketing
    experience

    OR
  • 4-year
    bachelor’s degree in the same fields, with 2 years of sales
    and marketing
    experience

  • 4-year college degree
  • Demonstrated people

  • Lodging sales

Sales Strategy &
Execution

  • Develops and executes strategic
    account plans.
  • Leads both proactive and reactive sales
    efforts to drive occupancy, RevPAR, and market share.

  • Partners with Regional Marketing Communications to define and deploy
    marketing communication activities.
  • Analyzes market
    conditions, economic trends, competitive data (STAR reports, comp shopping),
    and customer intelligence to adjust sales strategy.

  • Research competitor sales strategies and identifies growth
    opportunities.
  • Participates in weekly and long-term sales
    strategy meetings and recommends innovative marketing initiatives.

  • Evaluates and supports participation in Area Sales, Group Sales,
    and other sales channels.
  • Serves as the primary sales
    contact for the General Manager, property leadership, Area Sales &
    Marketing
  • Acts as the property expert on sales processes,
    contracts, and account deployment.
  • Coordinates closely
    with Revenue Management, Event Management, Marketing, and other hotel
    departments.
  • Participates in sales calls to acquire
    and close new business.
  • Identifies public relations
    opportunities and supports crisis communications as needed.

  • Executes Marriott Customer Service Standards, brand initiatives,
    and operational sales activities (proposals, contracts,
    correspondence).
  • Ensures seamless handoff between sales
    and operations while delivering high service levels.

  • Monitors and resolves guest issues resulting from the sales
    process.
  • Drives revenue growth, expense control,
    and return on investment for ownership and Marriott.

  • Supports regional and national promotions and performs other duties
    as business needs require.


Customer & Relationship
Management

  • Builds strong relationships
    with customers by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored
    solutions.
  • Drives customer satisfaction and loyalty before
    and during programs/events.
  • Develops partnerships
    with local organizations to enhance brand awareness.

  • Maintains strong internal stakeholder relationships.

  • Strengthens community and public relations through participation

Leadership & Talent
Management

  • Develops sales goals and strategies
    aligned with brand and business objectives.

    strategies to achieve booking and revenue goals

    the team on effective strategies and aggressive goal setting.

  • Ensures full utilization of Marriott International demand
    initiatives.
  • Partners with HR and other departments
    to ensure compliance with regulations and labor requirements.

  • Attracts, develops, retains, and plans future sales talent to support
    market growth.
  • Establishes effective structures,
    processes, performance management, and accountability.

  • Sets goals and manages performance using the Peak Performance
    Process.
  • Forecasts talent needs, manages recruitment,
    and minimizes turnover.
  • Actively recruits top sales talent
    from competitors.
  • Supports tools and training for catering
    and sales solution excellence.
  • Champions leadership
    development, succession planning, and diversity.
  • Trains,
    mentors, and develops sales associates and cross-functional leaders.

  • Provides day-to-day leadership to achieve property sales
    objectives.
  • Evaluates and optimizes participation across
    all sales channels.
  • Manages the sales & marketing
    budget to support property-specific campaigns and revenue
    goal
