Description

Primary Duties:Â Â Â

  • Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen,
    including menu planning, inventory management, and staff trainingÂ

  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance
    on food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and presentation
    standardsÂ

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety
    regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areasÂ

  • Monitor food quality and presentation, adjustÂ
    as necessary to uphold the hotel’s high standardsÂ

  • Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new kitchen
    staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaborationÂ

  • Assist in cost control measures, including tracking
    food waste, managing inventory, and optimizing labor efficiencyÂ

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively
    with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak periodsÂ

  • Must follow proper steps to ensure compliance
    with local Health Department Authority

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef
    to develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect the hotel’s brand
    and culinary visionÂ

  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends
    and techniques, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation in menu
    offeringsÂ

  • Administrative tasks: scheduling shifts, ordering
    supplies, etc.

  • All other duties
    as assigned

  • 5 years
    culinary experience as a Sous Chef or leadership role in a property of similar
    standingÂ

  • Multi-outlet experience a plusÂ

  • Experience with managing union employeesÂ

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced
    environmentÂ

  • Microsoft office suite experienceÂ

  • Possess holistic and well-developed culinary skill sets
    and have a well-rounded and diverse culinary backgroundÂ

  • Ability
    to work cohesively and collectively as part of a teamÂ

  • Complete
    knowledge of statutory regulations and requirements in food handling, including
    full knowledge of food safety, hygiene and related practicesÂ

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededÂ

  • Able to work independently yet also possessing strong
    leadership qualities to provide guidance to those who work in the kitchenÂ

  • Must have and maintain a professional appearance for our
    Luxury HotelÂ

  • Basic Math skillsÂ

Pay:Â $85,000 - $95,000 annuallyÂ

 To help candidates plan accordingly, we anticipate
the following timeline for the recruitment
process:

  • First-Round Interviews -Â Candidates
    selected to move forward will be invited to interview on Monday, 7/27Â
    through Friday, 7/31, between 10:00AMÂ
    and 4:00PM.
  • Final Interviews -Â
    Candidates advancing to the final stage should plan to be available
    between Monday, 8/03 and Friday, 8/07, 12:00PM
    and 2:00PM.
  • Hiring DecisionA final
    hiring decision is expected shortly after the final interview
    stage.
