Lobby Lounge Server Assistant

The Server Assistant
position’s primary responsibility is to assist with the needs of the servers
and bartenders. This candidate must be highly motivated, energetic, and possess
great communication skills. Â

Job responsibilities include, although
are not limited to:Â

• Display a congenial appearance and is well
  groomed at all times.Â
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment
  and detail-oriented qualities are necessary.  Â
• Ensure all setups
  are ready for service according to standards. Â
• Assist service
  to colleagues in completing pre-shift duties; including polishing all serving
  trays, setup of the bar area for service, polish buckets and additional side
  duties as outlined in the pre-shift duties list. Â
• Assist staff
  in delivering a flawless dining experience, consistently providing exceptional
  food, superlative service, elegant decor and exquisite presentations.Â
  
• It is the Server Assistant’s position to assist the service team
  in upholding these standards and see them through time after time. Â
  
• The Server Assistant is responsible for communication through
  the kitchen to the Front of House staff and vice versa. Â
• Their main
  job responsibilities are to expedite the completed dishes to the service area,
  provide table maintenance to servers, assist bartenders with set-up, glass
  polishing, and restocking of bar items. Â
• Assist service colleagues
  in breakdown and clean-up of service areas; i.e. all coffee and espresso service
  replaced and cleaned, all service items placed in storage areas, service trays
  cleaned and stored, bar area neat and tidy for next day's service. Â

• Prior experience in a similar restaurant environment
  preferred.Â
• Food Handlers Card required.Â
• RBS Certification
  required.Â
• High School graduateÂ
• Must be able to speak, read,
  write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.Â
  
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication
  process.   Â
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal
  and written    Â
• Ability to solve problems and make rational
  decisions.Â
• Knowledge of Restaurant operations, its services,
  and facilities. Â
• Must have superior guest service abilities as well
  as a complete understanding of California serving guidelines.Â

• Most work tasks are performed
  indoors.
  
  Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Restaurant environmental
  systems.
• Position requires walking and giving direction most of
  the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6
  hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day
  and task to task.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to multi-task
  in a calm manner on a timely basis.
• Must be able to exert well-paced
  ability in limited space.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
  to fulfill daily tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular
  and continuing basis.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking,
  repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual
  acuity.
