Sous Chef Banqueting & The Lounge


Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam is looking for a Sous Chef
to join our Banqueting & The Lounge Kitchen.

As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for
the following duties:

  • Responsible for the internal
    organisation of the kitchen, including the planning of menus, overseeing all
    aspects of food preparation, hygiene and cost control;
  • You
    will supervise our Banqueting & The Lounge kitchen team;
  • Delivering
    highest levels of quality and precision, preparing dishes in line with recipes
    and standards;
  • Maintaining highest levels of hygiene and cost
    control.

As Sous Chef we expect from you:


  • Passionate and quality-driven approach to cooking;
  • At least
    two years of experience in a leadership role as Senior Chef de Partie or Sous
    Chef;
  • Teamwork, being able to work closely with 6-8 chefs
    on shift;
  • Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken);

  • Familiar with hygiene code and HACCP regulations;
  • Ability to work
    evenings and weekend shifts.
