About the job

Based
at Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris the Assistant Bar Manager reports directly
to the Bar Manager.

As Assistant Bar Manager you will
be responsible for the following duties:


  • Operational Management: Ensure bar opening/closing according
    to hotel standards; oversee service quality and compliance with hygiene
    and hospitality procedures.

  • Team Leadership:
    Train and supervise bartenders and servers; manage schedules with the Bar
    Manager; lead daily briefings to coordinate special events.


  • Customer Service: Welcome international guests
    with professionalism; personalize the guest experience and handle complaints
    diplomatically.

  • Stock & Inventory Management:
    Monitor stock levels (drinks, glassware, accessories), manage orders within
    budget, and ensure product quality through premium suppliers.


  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate closely with front desk,
    room service, and restaurant teams to ensure smooth operations.


  • Sales & Standards Compliance: Organize themed events
    and tastings; contribute to seasonal or custom cocktail menus; uphold hygiene
    and safety standards (HACCP, hotel protocols).

As
Assistant Bar Manager we expect from you:

  • Fluency
    in English and French, a third language would be appreciated

  • A
    significant experience in the bartending industry in a parisian luxury
    establishment—ideally a minimum of 3 years
