About the job

Based the Mandarin
Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam the Sales Manager will ensure that guests
and partners are delighted and inspired and will drive continual improvement
and innovation and ensures that the property is positioned as the market leader.
The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales and Group & Events.


Main duties

  • Regularly analyse customer output,
    anticipate market trends and design products and channels in advance to seize
    business opportunities;
  • Meet and entertain all influential clients
    and ensure there is follow-up on all discussed details;
  • Organize
    and deliver familiarization site inspection trips of the hotel;
  • Plan
    and attend trade shows and sales calls within the assigned market (as well
    as any additional markets requiring support) to identify market opportunities
    for the hotel;
  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of sales &
    marketing strategies for maximising room revenues for the hotel;
  • Work
    with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Regional Sales Offices and third-party
    organisations in assigned territories, to maximise sales opportunities;

  • Monitor sales activities of market competitors, build effective
    relationships and report at sales meetings;
  • Increase brand awareness
    for the Conservatorium hotel and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

As Sales
Manager, we expect from you:

  • Degree holder in Business
    Management, Hospitality Management or relevant discipline;
  • 2 - 3 years
    of relevant experience in sales, preferably in luxury hospitality;
  • Good
    knowledge of Dutch and English language (written and spoken);
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills, presentation skills and sales prospecting skill;

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal
    and external guests;
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
    with tight time line.
