Mandarin Oriental,
Suzhou
is an upcoming luxury urban resort set on the east bank of Jinji
Lake, within Suzhou’s emerging Central Business District.

Scheduled to open in 2026, the property has been designed as a low‑rise lakeside
sanctuary surrounded by landscaped gardens, parks, and waterfront walkways,
while offering direct access to nearby commercial and retail areas.

The
hotel will feature 146 elegantly crafted guestrooms and suites, many
with private balconies overlooking Jinji Lake and Suzhou’s skyline. Guests
will enjoy a selection of dining experiences including three restaurants,
a lounge, bar, and cakeshop, along with al fresco options set within tranquil
garden spaces.

for a transformative Director of IT who will be responsible for shaping
and nurturing a workplace culture that attracts, inspires, and supports

As Director of IT, you
will responsible for the following duties:


  • Develop and execute the property’s IT strategy, ensuring alignment
    with operational goals, guest experience standards, and long-term business
    objectives.
  • Oversee the daily operation and security of all IT systems,
    including network infrastructure, servers, PMS, POS, telephony, Wi-Fi,
    and guest-facing technologies.
  • Ensure robust data protection
    and cybersecurity protocols are in place, continuously monitored, and regularly
    updated to protect all sensitive information.
  • Manage IT projects
    and system upgrades, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors
    to ensure smooth implementation and minimal disruption.
  • Provide
    responsive IT support to all departments, ensuring timely resolution
    of technical issues and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Lead the
    IT budget planning and asset management, including procurement, software
    licensing, contract negotiation, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure full
    compliance with legal, corporate, and regulatory requirements, such as data
    privacy laws (e.g. GDPR) and payment security standards (e.g. PCI-DSS).

  • Train and guide property teams on IT systems and digital tools, promoting
    user competence and digital literacy across the organization.

  • Collaborate closely with department heads to understand their technology
    needs and identify digital solutions that enhance efficiency and service
    delivery.
  • Stay updated on technology trends in hospitality, evaluating
    and recommending innovations that improve operations, guest experience,
    and security.

As Director of
IT
we expect from you:

  • Proven
    experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within luxury hospitality
    or multi-outlet operations.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality systems
    such as PMS, POS, CRM, VOIP, and guest-facing technologies.
  • Expertise
    in IT infrastructure, network security, and data protection best practices.

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead complex system
    integrations or migrations.
  • A strategic mindset with hands-on
    capabilities and a solution-driven approach.
  • Strong leadership
    and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels
    and departments.
  • High level of discretion, reliability, and commitment
    to confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Ability to thrive in
    a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with high service expectations.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Degree
    in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; certifications
    in cybersecurity or network administration are a plus.
