The Role

The
Senior Sales Manager – Corporate is responsible for driving
corporate transient and negotiated business for Mandarin Oriental Makati during
its pre‑opening and opening phases. This role plays a strategic part
in establishing the hotel’s presence within the corporate market, developing key
account strategies, and positioning the brand as the preferred luxury choice
for business travelers in Makati and Metro Manila.

As a senior
commercial leader, the role requires strong market intelligence, high‑level
client engagement, and the ability to translate corporate travel needs into
long‑term revenue partnerships, while upholding Mandarin Oriental’s service
excellence and brand integrity.

Key
Responsibilities

Pre‑Opening & Strategy:

  • Support
    the Director of Sales in developing corporate market entry strategies, rate
    positioning, and account segmentation
  • Participate
    in pre‑opening planning, including account mapping, sales forecasts, and brand
    awareness initiatives
  • Establish strong early presence
    within local, regional, and international corporate markets

Corporate Sales & Account Management:

  • Proactively solicit,
    negotiate, and manage corporate transient and negotiated accounts

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive volume, rate,
    and long‑term partnerships
  • Lead complex contract
    negotiations and ensure alignment with revenue strategy

  • Conduct high‑level sales calls, presentations, and site inspections

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain
    strong relationships with corporate decision‑makers, travel managers, and key
    intermediaries
  • Represent the hotel at corporate networking
    events, roadshows, and industry functions
  • Ensure seamless
    handover of business to operations while maintaining ongoing client satisfaction

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely
    with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations

  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, forecasting, and performance
    reporting via CRM systems
  • Provide regular market insights
    and competitive intelligence to the Director of Sales


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
    in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 4-5 years
    of luxury hotel sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior sales
    role, focusing on corporate business
  • Strong knowledge of local
    and regional corporate travel markets
  • Pre-opening experience highly
    preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable in systems such as Lanyon. Experience
    with Delphi is preferred.
