The Role

The
Senior Sales Manager – Group is responsible for driving group room revenue
from MICE, corporate groups, associations, travel, and social segments
for Mandarin Oriental Makati. This role is instrumental in establishing
the hotel as a premier destination for high-end group business during
the pre-opening phase and beyond.

The Senior Sales Manager – Group leads
strategic group sales initiatives, manages high‑value group negotiations,
and collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to ensure successful
conversion, execution, and delivery of group business in line with Mandarin
Oriental’s luxury positioning


Key
Responsibilities

Pre‑Opening & Market Entry:


  • Support the Director of Sales in defining group sales strategies, target
    segments, and revenue objectives
  • Participate in pre‑opening
    activities including market research, pipeline development, and brand
    positioning
  • Establish early relationships with key group
    producers, planners, and stakeholders

Group Sales & Revenue
Generation:

  • Proactively solicit and manage group business across
    MICE, corporate, association, and social markets
  • Lead
    negotiations for high‑value group room contracts in coordination with Revenue
    Management
  • Conduct site inspections, sales presentations,
    and bid proposals
  • Drive conversion of group leads
    to confirmed business in line with hotel strategy

Client
Relationship Management:

  • Develop strong partnerships with meeting
    planners, DMCs, PCOs, and corporate group organizers
  • Ensure
    clear communication, follow‑up, and client engagement throughout the sales
    and planning process
  • Maintain strong post‑event
    relationships to encourage repeat business

Cross‑Functional
Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with Events, Operations,
    Revenue Management, and Marketing teams for seamless execution

  • Ensure accurate group forecasts, pipelines, and CRM records

  • Share market trends, group demand insights, and competitive updates with
    the Director of Sales

Qualifications &
Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management,
    Business, or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of hotel sales
    experience, with at least 3-4 years strong exposure to MICE sales, including
    senior‑level responsibilities
  • Proven success handling complex group
    negotiations and large‑scale accounts
  • Pre‑opening hotel or luxury
    brand experience preferred
  • Experience with Delphi is preferred.
