The Role

The
Sales Manager – Group is responsible for generating and managing group business,
including meetings, incentives, conferences, and social groups. This role plays
a key part in positioning Mandarin Oriental Makati as a preferred luxury venue
for group events during pre-opening and onward, working closely with Events,
Catering, and Revenue teams.

Key
Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure group room and event
    business across identified market segments.
  • Respond to group inquiries
    and manage accounts from initial contact through confirmation.
  • Conduct
    client presentations, site inspections, and contract negotiations.

  • Support pre-opening sales initiatives, including market penetration
    and pipeline development.
  • Coordinate closely with Events, Conference
    Services, Catering, and Operations to ensure seamless group delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of group accounts, production, and forecasts
    in the CRM system.
  • Participate in sales missions, industry events,
    and client entertainment activities.
  • Monitor group pace, market demand,
    and competitor offerings.
  • Ensure contracts and commitments follow hotel
    policies and Mandarin Oriental brand guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
    in Hospitality, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years
    of hotel sales experience, with a focus on group or MICE sales.

  • Pre-opening experience and luxury hotel exposure preferred.
  • Strong
    organizational, communication, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Ability
    to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency
    in Delphi and Microsoft Office.
