ancient temples, archaeological landmarks, and rich cultural heritage,

These
landmark properties will bring Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service, wellness,
and luxury hospitality standards to the Nile region, offering elevated resort
experiences rooted in local culture, heritage, and destination storytelling.
The resorts are expected to feature luxurious accommodations, destination dining
experiences, wellness and spa facilities, leisure offerings, and curated
cultural experiences designed to connect guests with the history, beauty,
and authenticity of Upper Egypt.

About the Job

We
are looking for a forward-thinking and operationally strong Cluster Director
of Information Technology to support the development, pre-opening, and ongoing
operational technology leadership of both Mandarin Oriental, Luxor and Mandarin
Oriental, Aswan.

This role will oversee all aspects of Information
Technology operations across the two properties, ensuring robust infrastructure,
secure and reliable systems, exceptional guest-facing technology experiences,
and alignment with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group standards and strategic
technology initiatives.

The Cluster Director of Information Technology
will lead the IT teams across both resorts and will be responsible for driving
operational excellence, cybersecurity, innovation, infrastructure reliability,
business continuity, and guest technology services while supporting the evolving
technology needs of a luxury hospitality
environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead
    IT teams across Mandarin Oriental, Luxor and Mandarin Oriental, Aswan to oversee
    day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, networking, systems
    administration, cybersecurity, telecommunications, business applications,
    and technical support services for colleagues and guests.
  • Support
    the technology pre-opening strategy and implementation across both resorts,
    including infrastructure deployment, systems commissioning, testing, vendor
    coordination, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure all hotel systems,
    applications, and infrastructure are implemented and maintained in accordance
    with MOHG technology standards and security policies.
  • Manage
    and develop the IT teams to ensure operational effectiveness, service
    excellence, and alignment with business objectives and brand standards.

  • Drive communications and relationships related to technology both internally
    and externally while promoting a culture of innovation, service excellence,
    and continuous improvement.
  • Create and continually nurture a strong
    and unified culture throughout both resorts concerning the adoption, promotion,
    and support of all technology offerings and digital guest experiences.

  • Build strong relationships with the corporate office, ownership, technology
    partners, and suppliers while remaining current on hospitality technology trends
    and competitive developments.
  • Ensure both properties continue to evolve
    in line with guest expectations and industry-leading luxury hospitality
    technology practices.
  • Provide periodic updates and strategic
    recommendations to Hotel Management regarding opportunities where technology
    can improve operational efficiency, enhance guest experience, mitigate risks,
    and create new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the health
    and performance of network, server, cloud, Wi-Fi, telephony, IPTV, PMS, POS,
    guest room technologies, cybersecurity systems, and business-critical
    infrastructure.
  • Ensure all IT policies, procedures, standards,
    and disaster recovery documentation remain updated and aligned with MOHG
    and corporate governance requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge
    of emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, malware protection, PCI DSS
    compliance, data privacy standards, and hospitality technology best
    practices.
  • Oversee troubleshooting, systems backup processes, disaster
    recovery planning, redundancy testing, and business continuity
    preparedness.
  • Ensure prompt and professional resolution of all
    IT-related incidents affecting hotel operations, colleagues, and guests.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service
    providers to ensure service quality, compliance, performance standards, and cost
    effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with operational departments
    including Rooms, F&B, Spa, Finance, Security, Sales & Marketing, and Engineering
    to support hotel operations and technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate
    and standardize IT policies, methodologies, infrastructure practices,
    and support processes across both resorts.
  • Prepare and manage annual
    departmental operating budgets, CAPEX plans, technology investment roadmaps,
    and manpower budgets for both IT teams.
  • Support the implementation
    of sustainability, smart technology, automation, AI-enabled services,
    and digital transformation initiatives where appropriate.
  • Perform any
    other ad-hoc duties, projects, or operational responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s
    degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information
    Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years
    of IT experience within large-scale hospitality, luxury hotels, resorts,
    or multinational environments, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Previous luxury hospitality or resort experience is strongly preferred.

  • Pre-opening experience within hotels or resorts is highly advantageous.

  • Previous cluster or multi-property IT leadership experience
    is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hotel systems including
    PMS, POS, IPTV, telephony, Wi-Fi infrastructure, network security, cloud
    platforms, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Good
    understanding of cybersecurity governance, malware protection, PCI DSS
    compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

  • Preferably holds relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ITIL,
    Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or cloud-related certifications.
  • Strong
    knowledge of infrastructure administration including firewalls, VPN, endpoint
    protection, server environments, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise
    networking.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management,
    communication, and team development capabilities.
  • Strong project
    management and vendor management experience.
  • High level
    of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proactive
    with strong problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent customer service and guest engagement capabilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
    and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
    within a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
  • Fluency in English
    is required; Arabic is highly preferred. Additional languages
    are advantageous.
