These

and luxury hospitality standards to the Nile region, offering elevated resort
experiences rooted in local culture, heritage, and destination storytelling.
The resorts are expected to feature luxurious accommodations, destination dining
experiences, wellness and spa facilities, leisure offerings, and curated
cultural experiences designed to connect guests with the history, beauty,
and authenticity of Upper Egypt.

About the job

We
are looking for an insightful and commercially minded Cluster Director
of Finance who will provide leadership and strategic financial guidance across
both Mandarin Oriental, Luxor and Mandarin Oriental, Aswan.

The Cluster
Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of financial operations across
the two resorts, ensuring robust financial controls, operational efficiency,
regulatory compliance, and timely reporting while supporting the successful
development, pre-opening, and ongoing operations of both properties.

This
role will partner closely with Hotel Management, Ownership, and MOHG Corporate
teams to drive financial performance, safeguard assets, support strategic
decision-making, and maintain compliance with MOHG policies and local statutory
requirements.

As Cluster Director of Finance, you will
be responsible for the following duties:

  • Oversee
    and manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial
    controls, accounting procedures, and reporting standards across both properties,
    ensuring alignment with MOHG policies, generally accepted accounting principles
    (GAAP), management agreements, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Support the pre-opening financial strategy, setup, budgeting, systems
    implementation, and operational readiness for both resorts.
  • Drive
    innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise financial systems,
    reporting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide
    accurate, timely, and insightful financial information and analysis to Hotel
    Management teams to support effective operational and strategic
    decision-making.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Executive
    Committee and support the needs of the General Managers and senior leadership
    teams across both properties.
  • Identify opportunities to improve
    profitability, operational performance, cost efficiencies, and revenue
    optimisation across the cluster.
  • Prepare and analyse financial
    forecasts, budgets, business plans, variance reports, cash flow projections,
    and monthly management reports, providing recommendations and action plans where
    required.
  • Review and challenge forecasts and budgets to ensure
    realistic, achievable, and commercially sound financial targets.
  • Lead
    and develop the Finance teams across both resorts, including recruitment,
    succession planning, coaching, performance management, and colleague development
    initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain robust controls and procedures
    to safeguard hotel assets against loss, fraud, or misappropriation.

  • Ensure all insurance coverage requirements are maintained in line
    with management agreements and operational risks.
  • Maintain
    responsibility for the management of cash flow, banking relationships, treasury
    activities, and working capital management across the cluster.
  • Develop
    and enforce credit control, accounts receivable, and collection policies
    in accordance with MOHG standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee
    procurement controls, inventory management, and financial governance processes
    to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
  • Manage and oversee all
    internal and external audits, including coordination of statutory accounts
    preparation and filings for all legal entities associated with the cluster.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory reporting
    obligations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Act as Data
    Protection Officer where required and oversee compliance with data privacy
    regulations and annual GDPR-related audit requirements.
  • Collaborate
    closely with operational departments including Rooms, F&B, Spa, Sales &
    Marketing, Engineering, and IT to support business performance and operational
    excellence.
  • Prepare and manage annual departmental operating budgets,
    CAPEX plans, cash flow planning, and manpower budgets for the Finance function
    across both resorts.
  • Support ownership reporting requirements,
    investment reviews, and pre-opening financial governance activities.

  • Perform any other duties as required by the General Managers or MOHG
    Corporate Management.

As Cluster Director of Finance,
we expect from you:

Experience
and education

  • Extensive Financial Controller or Director
    of Finance experience within hospitality finance operations, ideally within
    luxury hotels or resorts.
  • Previous cluster or multi-property finance
    leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • Pre-opening experience
    within luxury hospitality environments is strongly advantageous.
  • Proven
    experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance,
    cash flow management, audit processes, and operational finance.
  • Strong
    commercial and operational understanding of luxury resort environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or
    a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA,
    CIMA, CA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Finance,
    Accounting, or MBA is advantageous.
  • Continuing education in financial
    management, compliance, and hospitality finance best practices is
    an advantage.

Technical skills


  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, internal
    controls, and audit practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement
    financial strategies aligned with broader business and operational
    objectives.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills,
    with experience developing and mentoring finance teams.
  • Strong
    analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven
    ability to generate and interpret complex financial reports, including P&L
    statements, cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and investment
    analysis.
  • Ability to assemble, analyse, and interpret integrated
    spreadsheets and complex financial information.
  • Excellent
    communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong
    prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
    in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    and strong working knowledge of hospitality finance systems such as SUN, Opera,
    Hyperion, Micros, Delphi, or similar platforms preferred.
  • High level
    of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Fluency
    in English is required; Arabic is highly preferred. Additional languages
    are advantageous.
