About the job

Based at the Mandarin
Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Finance Department in Riyadh,
the Director of Finance is responsible for the supervision of all members of
the Finance & Purchasing Department, for the determination of optimum control
objectives and for the installation and maintenance of appropriate internal
control systems over income, expenditure, assets and liabilities within
the hotel, budget and forecast process and finance meetings with Corporate MOHG
finance and Owners. The Director of Finance reports to the General Manager.


As Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the following
duties:

  • Ensure the colleagues’ career path and development
    needs are being prioritised and documented in accordance with the MO Profile
    online system.
  • Hold monthly meetings with all colleagues to assure
    they have a forum to voice any concerns or challenges and share departmental
    and hotel information.
  • You shall take all reasonable steps to safeguard
    stored information and not divulge or otherwise transfer any personal data
    concerning the guests, customers or colleagues, or any confidential information
    concerning the hotel unless with the appropriate authority.

  • To direct, manage and support the development, implementation, maintenance,
    and administration if all financial controls and accounting procedures, based
    upon a maximization of internal control techniques consistent with Group
    corporate management established policy and generally accepted accounting
    principles, as adapted to the requirements of the hotel’s management contract
    and other local legal requirements.
  • To play an active role in
    the management of the hotel and to exercise a responsive attitude to the needs
    of the General Manager and other members of the hotel management team.

  • Identify and regularly review the classification levels of all your
    information with your department.
  • Ensure that the information
    and information security equipment assets under your control are secured
    as effectively as practically possible to ensure the confidentiality, integrity,
    and availability of the information assets.

As
Director of Finance, we expect from you:


  • Authorize user access to information under your control and remove access
    when it is no longer required.
  • Communicate access control requirements
    to Information Security management and the information users.

  • Monitor Information Policy compliance within your scope of authority.

  • Detect and report Information Security incidents to the Information Security
    Officer and respond to any incidents that are reported.
  • Safeguard
    the security of the company's information and computing assets and comply
    with the implemented Information Security Policy and all practices
    and supporting procedures designed in accordance with the policy.
  • To
    ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of
    the hotel’s assets against loss or misappropriation.
  • To ensure adequate
    insurance coverage is maintained to protect the assets of the hotel regarding
    the requirements contained in the hotel’s management contract.
  • Assume
    full responsibility for the proper control of all cash funds and other assets
    for subordinates.
