Mandarin Oriental, Makati
is an upcoming 5-star luxury hotel set within the lush Ayala Triangle Gardens,

Scheduled to open in 2026, this landmark development will feature 275 elegantly
appointed guestrooms and suites, offering a refined blend of contemporary design
and timeless sophistication. Guests will enjoy an exceptional array
of world-class amenities, including a curated selection of restaurants,
a stylish bar, a serene pool area, and the brand’s signature spa. Designed to
be a sanctuary in the heart of the city, the hotel promises an elevated
experience for both leisure and business travelers seeking comfort, excellence,
and distinction in Manila.

The Role

The
Houseman supports the restaurant and bar operations by ensuring cleanliness,
organization, and efficient replenishment of supplies and equipment. This role
plays a vital part in maintaining seamless service flow, supporting service
colleagues, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with Mandarin
Oriental’s Legendary Quality Experiences (LQE).

Key
Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Support
the service team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the outlet,
including dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure
all mise en place, equipment, and service stations are properly stocked
and ready before, during, and after service.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables
promptly and efficiently in accordance with service standards.
• Assist
in the setup and breakdown of the restaurant or bar for service periods.

Replenish operating equipment such as chinaware, glassware, cutlery, and linens
as required.
• Ensure all service equipment is clean, polished, and in good
condition.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of floors, furniture,
fixtures, and service areas at all times.
• Support the smooth flow
of operations by assisting servers and bartenders as needed.
• Ensure proper
handling and storage of equipment to prevent breakage and loss.
• Coordinate
with Stewarding to ensure timely cleaning and return of equipment.


Service Excellence

• Provide courteous, attentive, and efficient
support to both guests and colleagues.
• Respond promptly to service requests
from the team to ensure smooth and timely guest service.
• Maintain awareness
of guest needs and assist in delivering a consistent and seamless dining
experience.
• Uphold Mandarin Oriental grooming and presentation standards
at all times.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Follow all health,
hygiene, and food safety standards in line with hotel policies and local
regulations.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation practices are consistently
applied throughout the outlet.
• Handle equipment and cleaning materials
safely and responsibly.
• Report any hazards, breakages, or maintenance
concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Administrative Responsibilities


• Assist in monitoring stock levels of operating equipment and supplies.

Support inventory processes and report shortages or damages as required.

Participate in daily briefings and training sessions.

People &
Culture

• Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to ensure
efficient daily operations.
• Maintain a positive, respectful,
and team-oriented attitude.
• Participate in training and development
programs to enhance skills and service standards.


Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma
or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in Food & Beverage
or hospitality is an advantage but not required.
• Physically fit and able
to carry and move equipment, trays, and supplies.
• Basic understanding
of restaurant or bar operations is preferred.
• Good communication
and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.

Professional grooming and presentation in line with luxury hospitality
standards.
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends and public
holidays.
