of Engineering to join our Engineering team.

About the job

As Director of Engineering,
you will be responsible for the following duties:


    • Develop, manage, and analyze the department budget, optimizing maintenance
      and repair costs while ensuring compliance with budgetary objectives.

    • Plan and coordinate all hotel maintenance works, as well as ongoing
      and future projects.
    • Manage contracts, utilities, and service
      providers.
    • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise the technical
      team.
    • Ensure the proper operation and availability of all equipment
      and facilities under your responsibility.
    • Monitor maintenance contracts
      and manage contract termination notice periods.
    • Ensure compliance
      with health, safety, and security regulations for both guests
      and employees.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's furniture,
      fixtures, and equipment.
    • Stay informed about new technologies
      and solutions that can enhance equipment performance and guest comfort,
      and submit recommendations to management.
    • Organize and coordinate
      inspections by safety and regulatory authorities.
    • Establish and manage
      the preventive maintenance schedule.
    • Prepare and manage CAPEX projects
      and budgets.
    • Ensure the building remains compliant with all applicable
      regulations and standards.
    • Maintain up-to-date health, fire safety,
      and technical records and registers.
    • Prepare and provide reports to
      the corporate group as required.
    • Coordinate and oversee interventions
      by external contractors and ensure cross-functional collaboration with other
      departments.
    • Contribute to the onboarding and training of new team
      members.
    • Lead the technical team, organizing workloads and work
      schedules.
    • Implement and ensure adherence to quality procedures
      and standards within the team.
    • Monitor team performance and ensure
      compliance with quality protocols.
    • Participate in daily quality
      inspections and, more generally, in all activities related to
      the department.

As Director of Engineering
we expect from you:

  • Proven ability to lead, develop,
    and train teams, while applying disciplinary measures when necessary.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose effective
    solutions and manage challenging situations.
  • Strong financial acumen
    with a focus on cost control and budget management.
  • Demonstrated
    ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively within an international
    and multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written
    and spoken.
  • Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar position
    and possess a strong understanding of the Parisian luxury hospitality market,
    particularly within the 5-star and Palace hotel segment.
