The Role

The
Spa Attendant supports the Spa & Wellness team in delivering exceptional
wellness experiences that exceed guest expectations in line with Mandarin
Oriental's Legendary Quality Experiences (LQE), MOQA standards, and Spa &
Wellness brand standards. This role is responsible for maintaining
the cleanliness, presentation, and operational readiness of all Spa & Wellness
facilities, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests
while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.


Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service
Excellence


• Deliver courteous, professional, and personalized
service to all guests at all times.
• Welcome guests and provide assistance
within Spa & Wellness facilities as required.
• Maintain a warm, friendly,
and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues.

Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Uphold Mandarin
Oriental's LQE, MOQA, and Spa & Wellness service standards.
• Ensure guest
comfort, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Maintain professional
grooming and presentation in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.



Spa & Facility Operations


• Maintain the cleanliness,
organization, and presentation of all Spa & Wellness areas, including treatment
rooms, changing rooms, relaxation lounges, wet areas, fitness facilities,
and pool areas.
• Ensure all guest amenities, towels, linens, robes,
and supplies are replenished and presented according to established
standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of Spa & Wellness facilities
to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
• Prepare treatment
rooms and guest areas before, during, and after service periods.
• Collect,
sort, and coordinate the replenishment of linens and laundry items.
• Ensure
all equipment, furniture, and fixtures are clean and in good condition.

Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and equipment malfunctions
promptly.


Operational Support


• Support therapists,
fitness colleagues, and spa reception in daily operations as required.

Assist with the setup and breakdown of wellness events, promotions, and special
activities.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of guest amenities, supplies,
and operational materials.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock
replenishment processes.
• Support opening and closing procedures of the Spa
& Wellness facilities.
• Follow all departmental policies, procedures,
and standard operating guidelines.


Health, Safety & Hygiene



• Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, sanitation, and safety
standards.
• Maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues
by identifying and reporting hazards.
• Follow emergency procedures
and support departmental safety initiatives.
• Ensure wet areas, fitness
facilities, and pool surroundings remain clean, safe, and hazard-free.



Teamwork & Professional Development


• Work collaboratively
with all Spa & Wellness colleagues to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Participate actively in departmental meetings, briefings, and training
sessions.
• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting operational requirements
across all Spa & Wellness areas.
• Support a positive, professional,
and collaborative working environment.
• Act as an ambassador of the Mandarin
Oriental Spa & Wellness philosophy and service culture.


Additional
Responsibilities


• Support operations across all Spa & Wellness areas
as required, including Treatment Areas, Reception, Retail, Relaxation Areas,
Fitness Centre, Wellness Programs, and Pool operations.
• Assist with VIP
arrivals, wellness events, and special guest requests.
• Perform opening
and closing duties as assigned.
• Comply with all health, safety, hygiene,
and emergency procedures.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities
assigned by the Director of Spa & Wellness.


Qualifications & Experience


• High School Diploma
or equivalent; vocational or hospitality-related training is an advantage.

Previous experience in a luxury spa, wellness, hospitality, housekeeping,
recreation, or guest service environment preferred.
• Basic understanding
of spa operations, cleanliness standards, and guest service principles.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional grooming
and presentation aligned with Mandarin Oriental standards.
• Ability to work
independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of performing
cleaning, lifting, stocking, and operational support duties.
• Positive,
service-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Flexible to work
shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills
required.
